Solana Mobile to Launch SKR Token on Jan 21 With Seeker Airdrop
Solana Mobile will launch its SKR token on January 21, with an airdrop allowing Solana Seeker smartphone users to claim up to 20% of the token supply. After launch, users can assign tokens to "Guardians" — including infrastructure platforms like Anza and Helius — to help secure the network, verify devices, and manage the decentralized app store, earning rewards in return. The Seeker, Solana's second blockchain phone, has already seen significant adoption with 9 million transactions and $2.6 billion in trading volume. The airdrop distribution will see 30% unlocked at launch, with two-thirds allocated to Seeker users and developers. Solana Mobile aims to challenge the mobile app duopoly of Apple and Google.
