Американский экономист Питер Шифф (Peter Schiff), получивший за поддержку инвестиций в золото прозвище «Золотой жук», предположил, что курс биткоина может обрушиться как минимум до $75 000.

Шифф сделал свой прогноз после коррекции биткоина до уровня $109 000 c максимальной отметки в $124 400, достигнутой в августе во время бычьего тренда. Недавно «Золотой жук» заявил, что лучшее время для покупки биткоина наступит тогда, когда Strategy и другие корпорации начнут избавляться от своих криптоактивов. По мнению Шиффа, инвесторам следует покупать биткоин не по рекомендации главы Strategy Майкла Сэйлора (Michael Saylor), а когда компании, выпускающие облигации для покупки биткоина, обанкротятся.

Ранее Шифф раскритиковал американские власти за разработку законов о регулировании криптовалют, так как цифровые активы, по его мнению, являются финансовыми пирамидами.
