Представители Cencora отказались комментировать «домыслы и слухи». Они добавили, что понесенные в связи с событием кибербезопасности расходы указаны в квартальных отчетах компании. Согласно документам от марта и июля, речь идет о «большей части суммы» в $28,5 млн и $31,3 млн. Неясно, что именно покрывали эти деньги в связи со взломом.

Через два месяца после раскрытия инцидента Cencora начала уведомлять частных лиц и государственные органы о краже персональных данных пациентов, включая имена, адреса, даты рождения, диагнозы, рецепты и лекарства.

В сообщении SEC от февраля фармацевтический гигант отметил, что инцидент существенно не отразился на его деятельности, однако влияние на финансовое положение компании еще предстоит оценить.

О выплате рекордной суммы в пользу вымогателей впервые сообщили исследователи Zscaler ThreatLabz в июле, указав жертвой неназванную компанию из списка Fortune 50.
