Whales are increasingly targeting HYPE to stake funds into the Hyperliquid platform, highlighting renewed capabilities associated with the chain. 

While Hyperliquid is widely known for its innovative decentralized perpetual futures exchange, the platform is drawing attention among crypto investors for what is seen as its rising staking offerings. This development has been disclosed by blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, which today spotted a crypto whale who cashed out HYPE tokens valued at $32.87 million and pumped them into the Hyperliquid platform for staking.

Hyperliquid is a Layer-1 blockchain built to power a DEX (decentralized exchange) for perpetual futures and spot trading. Powered by its native HYPE token, Hyperliquid allows people to trade cryptos with leverage while safeguarding self-custody of their assets.

Besides being recognized as the leading decentralized perpetuals exchange in the crypto market (according to the latest DeFiLlama metrics), Hyperliquid is rising to be one of the major platforms for staking rewards for crypto clients who want profitable custodial staking experiences.

Lookonchain has proven this growing trend. Today, the analyst identified a crypto institutional customer who withdrew 557,902 HYPE tokens worth $32.87 million from the FalconX digital asset trading platform and deposited the funds into Hyperliquid for staking. Also yesterday, July 24, Lookonchain spotted another whale who staked 2.93 million HYPE tokens into Hyperliquid. The institutional client withdrew funds valued at $172 million, equivalent to 2.93 million HYPE tokens, from 19 wallets and deposited them into Hyperliquid for staking capital lockup, as per the analyst’s observation.

Институциональный спрос на Bitcoin (BTC) продолжил расти после того, как Bitcoin Trust от Morgan Stanley превысил $400 млн совокупных притоков.

Продолжают ли институты покупать Bitcoin?

Согласно анализу AMBCrypto, показатель MVRV Z-Score для Bitcoin составляет 0,39. Это означает, что BTC торгуется относительно близко к своей реализованной стоимости (Realized Value).

Исторически низкие значения MVRV Z-Score часто наблюдались в периоды, благоприятные для накопления. Однако сам по себе этот показатель не подтверждает, что рынок уже достиг своего дна.

Одновременно с этим майнеры сократили объёмы продаж. Переводы майнеров на криптобиржи снизились до 968 BTC, что стало самым низким месячным показателем за рассматриваемый период.

Снижение переводов может уменьшить краткосрочное давление со стороны продавцов и позволить новому спросу сильнее влиять на цену Bitcoin.

Тем не менее более низкие объёмы переводов не гарантируют, что майнеры полностью прекратили продажи через другие каналы. В совокупности институциональные притоки капитала и сокращение активности майнеров могут повысить шансы Bitcoin на восстановление.

The CLARITY Act update gained fresh attention after the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) announced its support for the latest version of H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act.The endorsement followed the organization's review of revised language connected to the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act (BRCA). In a July 24 letter addressed to Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott and Ranking Member Elizabeth Warren, the FOP said its previous concerns had been addressedThe group stated that the updated language preserves law enforcement's ability to investigate crimes involving digital assets. However, the BRCA text itself remained unchanged in the bill version released on Wednesday, leaving uncertainty about the specific revisions referenced during the negotiations.According to journalist Eleanor Terrett, the National Fraternal Order of Police said it reviewed clarifying language included in revised Section 10604, which amends the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act. According to the letter, the organization concluded that the provision does not restrict investigators or prosecutors from pursuing unlawful conduct involving digital assets. The FOP said the clarification directly addressed concerns raised during earlier discussions over the legislation.

Hyperliquid [HYPE] has historically deployed deflationary mechanisms to control supply and absorb market pressure. The project has mostly used the protocol’s revenue for token buybacks and burns to achieve these goals. 

Hyperliquid burns $1.2 million worth of HYPE

With HYPE prolonging its stay below $60, the project once again used its revenue to reduce inflation. Since August 2025, the Hyperliquid network has generated $800 million in net income, with HyperCore accounting for 95% of the income. 

Interestingly, most of the funds generated have been spent on token buybacks. Out of the $1.03 billion generated, $1.01 billion has been used for buybacks and burns.

Over the past day, for example, Hyperliquid generated $1.4 million in fees and burned 20.64K HYPE worth $1.2 million. However, despite the buyback and burns, the capital spent here has plummeted significantly, falling 61%. 

With the recent burn, Hyperliquid has burned 4.73% of the token’s supply according to Onchain Lens. This also marks over 15% of the currently circulating supply.

The sustained capital deployment toward deflationary measures has gone a long way toward stabilizing the HYPE token. As a result, HYPE has remained strong even during a prolonged period of broader market weakness.

The other prominent players include Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, Harmony, and Cardano.Ethereum is the top name on the list of key blockchains in line with developer activity. Over the past thirty days, the blockchain has recorded 263.3K developer activity events with a 40.29% decline. Additionally, these events witnessed 1.1K contributors, expressing a 13.23% drop. In addition to this, $BNB Chain has become the 2nd top player, witnessing 121.8K developer activity events with a 40.72% decrease. At the same time, the respective events had 603 contributors, highlighting a 17.62% dip.Following that, Polygon has become the 3rd top blockchain ecosystem when it comes to developer activity over the past 30 days. In this respect, it saw 100.4K developer activity events, displaying a 40.85% plunge. Additionally, the 452 contributors of these events show a 16.14% decrease. Additionally, as the 4th top name on the list, Arbitrum accounted for 79K events with a 45.22% decline, while its 373 contributors expressed an 18.02% dip.monthly developer activity events indicated a 45.3% dip. Simultaneously, its 355 contributors signified an 18.01% drop. Then comes Solana with 77.4K developer activity events, showing a 32.14% decline. However, its 377 developer activity contributors show a 1.62% rise over the same period.

According to Santiment, Avalanche is the 8th top blockchain when it comes to 30-day developer activity. It thus recorded 73.4K events with a 43.93% dip

According to ChainCatcher, derivatives data showed around $6 million in SHIB liquidations during the rally, with approximately $5 million coming from short positions. Analysts believe the short squeeze was a consequence of the price surge, not the primary catalyst behind it.
I'm watching a few key signals:
Whether SHIB can maintain higher trading volume.
If capital continues rotating into SHIB over other meme coins.
Whether the rally attracts fresh spot demand instead of relying on derivatives.
Bitcoin's influence on overall market sentiment.
To me, sustained capital inflows and strong spot participation will matter more than temporary short liquidations when evaluating SHIB's next move.
