Metaplanet CEO Reveals The Core Logic of Strategy’s Bitcoin Accumulation Strategy Remains Unchanged! Here Are the Details

Simon Gerovich, CEO of Japan-based investment company Metaplanet, said that there has been no fundamental change in the structure or logic of Strategy’s (formerly MicroStrategy) long-standing Bitcoin buying strategy.

In his social media post, Gerovich emphasized that while market perception of Strategy’s approach has changed several times over the years, the company has consistently pursued the same strategy.

Gerovich recalled that Strategy’s Bitcoin journey began in August 2020, noting that at the time, a software company with a market capitalization of approximately $1 billion adding $250 million worth of Bitcoin to its balance sheet was seen by many as a one-off and unusual move. However, the fact that the company’s shares subsequently increased in value by approximately tenfold led to this decision being considered a “visionary” investment strategy in the markets.

However, the sharp declines in the Bitcoin market caused Strategy shares to lose approximately 90% of their value, leading to the strategy being described as a failed experiment. According to Gerovich, while market perception has changed significantly over time, the company’s core approach has never changed

MemeCore leads with 11.2% rally as memecoins gain 8% – Bulls target $1.7

M surged 10.2% after successfully holding $1.1 to $1.3 amid a sector-wide rebound. 
Memecoins have experienced strong downward pressure amid extended weakness across the market.

However, in the last 24 hours, the memecoin market cap rose 8% to $23 billion, while trading volume rose 77% to $2.85 billion.

Amid this sector-wide trend reversal, MemeCore [M] also rebounded, successfully holding $1.1 and climbing to a local high of 1.329.

As of this writing, MemeCore was trading around $1.32, after rising by 11.2% on the daily charts. However, its trading volume dropped by 13%, suggesting that market participation is yet to recover.

The Fear & Greed Index at 26 reflects deep caution despite climbing prices.

The conflict between daily and hourly timeframes demands disciplined position sizing.

The daily regime reads neutral, yet the RSI on D1 sits at 77.27 — well past the 70 overbought threshold. $SHIB has been bought aggressively over a sustained period. That does not guarantee an immediate reversal, but it does mean the easy upside has already been captured. Every push higher from here requires fresh buyers willing to pay increasingly expensive prices. In a Fear-dominated market, that pool of buyers thins quickly.

The daily MACD, price levels, EMA readings, Bollinger Bands, ATR, and pivot points do not carry usable numerical values in the current dataset. The RSI at 77.27 therefore stands as the clearest signal the daily chart is offering. When a daily RSI pushes toward 80 without a clear fundamental catalyst, the probability of mean reversion rises meaningfully. Traders who bought the move have profit to protect. Those eyeing fresh longs here face an unfavorable risk/reward setup on the higher timeframe.

Cross-chain bridging and atomic swap protocol Garden Finance temporarily took its app offline after blockchain security firm Blockaid reported an exploit targeting the protocol's hash time-locked contracts (HTLC) across four blockchain networks.

On Sunday, Blockaid said an attacker drained about $450,000 in USDT from Garden's HTLC contracts on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and BNB Smart Chain. HTLCs are time-bound escrow contracts that Garden uses to facilitate atomic swaps between Bitcoin and assets on other networks.

Blockaid described the exploit as ongoing when it published its alert but did not disclose the suspected vulnerability or say whether the incident affected user funds. Blockaid's alert included addresses associated with the attacker and the affected contracts.

Garden said separately that it had detected "unusual activity" and was conducting a full investigation while its app remained temporarily offline.

Garden Finance and Blockaid acknowledged Cointelegraph's request for comments.

The incident follows an October 2025 breach in which an attacker stole about $11.4 million after compromising the operating environment of one of Garden's solvers. Garden said that breach did not affect its protocol contracts or put user funds at risk.
