Why Saylor Anticipates More Bitcoin Sales
Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of Strategy Inc. (Nasdaq: MSTR), revealed on July 27 in an X post that future STRC repurchases may be funded through either bitcoin sales or MSTR stock sales, depending on market conditions. STRC is Strategy’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, carrying a $100 stated amount and a dividend rate that management evaluates monthly.

Bitcoin sales could become an attractive financing option when STRC trades sufficiently below $100, allowing the company to retire preferred shares at a discount.

Saylor said the company aims to keep STRC trading near its $100 stated amount with high liquidity, low volatility, and sustainable independent demand. Under Strategy’s digital credit capital framework, it does not intend to issue additional STRC below

Hong Kong’s central bank puts a number on lenders' quantum preparedness. It's very low.



Hong Kong’s central bank is sounding the alarm on quantum computing.

On Monday, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) published a whitepaper on the banking sector’s readiness for the quantum era, complete with its first Quantum Preparedness Index reading.

The score? A dismal 2.3 out of 10.

At that level, the territory’s banking industry is just figuring out the risks posed by the technology even as many security experts warn that the quantum age is already knocking on the door.

The whitepaper, unveiled at the eighth FiNETech conference and based on a survey conducted earlier this year, shows awareness is starting to build, but actual preparation is lagging.

The crypto market has remained volatile throughout 2026 as investors continue debating when Bitcoin (BTC) will establish a durable bottom.

While broader market sentiment remains uncertain, some altcoins have shown resilience. Among them, TRON (TRX) is now flashing technical and on-chain signals that raise questions about its bottom.

TRX Price Action Steadies After a 16% Slide

According to 10x Research, TRX fell around 16% from its May high before finding support in late June. It now sits above both the 7-day and 30-day moving averages.

The firm reads both reclaims as bullish momentum signals. The altcoin has gained 2.2% over the past week and recovered 6% from its lows. Still, TRX remains 11% below its May peak.

The token trades near $0.33, about 23% under its record high of $0.4313.

According to Thiel, the energy needs of data centers are rapidly increasing, especially with the proliferation of generative AI applications.
