CryptoQuant, a cryptocurrency analysis platform, stated in its latest assessment of the Bitcoin market that there has been a noticeable divergence in stablecoin liquidity, indicating that the market is entering a transition phase.

According to the 30-day flow data shared by the company, while inflows into Tether remain relatively stable, more significant and persistent outflows are observed in USD Coin. According to CryptoQuant, this indicates that liquidity is still flowing into the market, but this is happening in a more selective and cautious manner rather than an aggressive expansion.

Morgan Stanley Files MSBT Ticker for Bitcoin ETF on NYSE Arca The fund will offer a fee waiver on the first $5 billion invested for a period of six months.

Morgan Stanley has updated its Bitcoin ETF application with the SEC. The amended S-1 filing, submitted Wednesday, discloses that the fund will trade on NYSE Arca under the ticker MSBT. It also adds Fidelity as a custodian for the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust.

The fund will offer a fee waiver on the first $5 billion invested for a period of six months. Morgan Stanley had previously named Bank of New York Mellon and Coinbase Custody Trust Company as custodians. Fidelity's addition brings the total number of custodians to three.

Bitcoin’s quantum risk is real, but the network is not sleepwalking into it. That is the core conclusion of a March 19 research note from Galaxy Digital, which argues that while a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could one day threaten exposed Bitcoin wallets, developers are already doing substantial work on mitigation and migration.

Will Owens, a research analyst at Galaxy, frames the current debate as more polarized than the underlying facts justify. On one side are those who argue quantum computing is still decades away. On the other are those warning that the window may be far shorter and that Bitcoin needs to move now. Galaxy’s position sits between those camps: urgency is warranted, but so is perspective.

Bitcoin Is Getting Ready For The Quantum Threat
The report makes one point repeatedly. Not all bitcoin is equally exposed. Funds are only vulnerable when public keys are visible on-chain, which means the biggest long-term risk sits with legacy wallet formats, reused addresses, some exchange or custodian setups, and older outputs including coins believed to be tied to Satoshi Nakamoto. Citing analysis from Project Eleven, Galaxy says roughly 7 million BTC, worth about $470 billion at recent prices, may be vulnerable under a broad “long exposure” definition, though it notes other estimates come in lower depending on methodology.

That distinction matters because Bitcoin’s UTXO model still gives it structural protection that account-based chains do not. As Galaxy puts it, “In Bitcoin, public keys are typically revealed only when coins are spent, meaning a large share of the supply remains protected behind hashed addresses until transaction time.” The report adds: “This distinction does not eliminate risk for Bitcoin, but it does materially affect the scope and sequencing of exposure in a potential Q-day event.” In other words, Bitcoin has a narrower attack surface than many casual discussions imply.

New U.S. Crypto Rules Clarify SOL Oversight and Staking

The SEC and CFTC have released a 70-page framework that reshapes how US regulators classify digital assets. The document places Solana in the digital commodity category, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Cardano. The move clarifies oversight, reduces legal pressure on SOL, and opens a clearer path for staking activity and regulated investment products.

New Classification Shifts Solana’s Regulatory Status

The framework divides digital assets into five categories. These are Digital Commodities, Digital Collectibles, Digital Tools, Payment Stablecoins, and Digital Securities.

Within that structure, regulators list Solana as a Digital Commodity. It sits in a group of 16 core assets that the document treats as commodities rather than investment contracts.

The distinction matters because the framework defines a Digital Commodity as an asset whose value comes from a decentralized system and from market supply and demand. It does not rely on the efforts of a central party to create value.

That change moves SOL away from the security label. Under this interpretation, the SEC would not pursue SOL as an unregistered security.

Instead, the CFTC would take the lead in overseeing the SOL spot market. This marks a major regulatory shift for one of the market’s largest digital assets.

That's why it's so hard to pin down a consistent pattern, since the connection keeps changing based on what's happening in the general economic conditions.

In the current market cycle, a more consistent pattern has emerged - when oil climbs, Bitcoin tends to dip, at least in the short run.
