Solana is back in focus after a massive token unlock caught the market’s attention—but so far, the price isn’t reacting much.
According to Whale Alert, about 1.8 million SOL (worth roughly $164 million) was unstaked on March 21. The funds came from an unknown wallet and were spread across multiple addresses, adding a layer of uncertainty about what happens next.
What Does This Mean?
When staked tokens are unlocked, they become liquid again—which means they can be sold.
That’s why moves like this often make traders nervous. A large holder (or “whale”) unlocking this much SOL could be preparing to sell, which would increase supply in the market and potentially put pressure on the price.
At the same time, it’s not confirmed whether the tokens were actually sent to exchanges or simply moved around—or even restaked. So for now, it’s more of a potential risk than a confirmed bearish signal.
Price Isn’t Moving Much… Yet
Interestingly, this big unlock comes while Solana is showing mixed momentum.
After briefly climbing back to around $97 earlier in the week, SOL has settled near $90, with only modest gains over the past 24 hours. The earlier breakout seems to be losing steam, and the market is now waiting for a clearer direction.
The Bigger Picture
Large unlocks like this don’t always lead to immediate sell-offs—but they do increase uncertainty.
If the unlocked tokens start flowing into exchanges, it could cap any short-term rally. On the flip side, if they’re held or restaked, the market may shrug this off and continue consolidating.
For now, Solana looks to be in a wait-and-see phase, balancing between recent bullish momentum and the risk of fresh supply hitting the market.

Two women have been convicted of 'brazenly' stealing nearly $10 million from retail titan Amazon in a fake vendor scheme, splurging the stolen funds on luxury items. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) says 40-year-old Brittany Hudson of Atlanta, Georgia, has been convicted of defrauding Amazon using a scam involving fake invoices and vendors with the aid of her romantic partner, Kayricka Wortham, who worked as an operations manager at an Amazon warehouse. Authorities say that between January 2022 to June 2022, Hudson - who owned a business that contracted with Amazon to deliver packages - leveraged the position of Worthram to defraud Amazon by having Worthram approve fake vendors as legitimate in order for them to submit invoices. Using this method, the duo submitted millions of dollars worth of invoices on behalf of fake vendors and pocketed the money, splurging on luxury cars, such as a 2019 Lamborghini Urus, a 2021 Dodge Durango, a 2022 Tesla Model X, a 2018 Porsche Panamera, and a Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle, as well as a $1 million home in Georgia. The inspectors included people from Supermicro’s own compliance team and a U.S. Department of Commerce official who visited in December 2025, it said. Analyst’s Take on Ethereum’s Next Moves
Crypto analyst Celal Kucuker shared his view on what could happen next for Ethereum. He looked at key historical levels and concluded that a surge toward $2,900 is more likely than a drop to $1,500 in the near term.
Here’s the reasoning:
Ethereum has previously cleared $3,350, a major resistance level.
During the last crash in February 2026, it dropped to $1,850.
With these two levels behind it, the next important target is around $2,950.
According to the analyst, Ethereum is likely to reach $2,900 first. After that, a correction could bring the price down almost 50% to around $1,500.
Long-Term Outlook
Even with this potential drop, the longer-term picture remains bullish. Once Ethereum hits the bottom near $1,500, it could stage a significant rebound—potentially a 400% surge, pushing it to new all-time highs and eventually reaching $6,100.
In short, the path ahead may include some ups and downs, but the bigger trend could still be very bullish for Ethereum investors.
