Next week could prove pivotal for markets, including bitcoin, as seven major central banks, including the powerful Federal Reserve, announce rate decisions amid war-driven oil price gains that threaten to reignite inflation in the global economy.

The week’s packed economic calendar includes the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) rate decision on March 17, followed by the Bank of Canada (BOC) and the Fed on March 18, and wraps up with the Bank of Japan (BOJ), Swiss National Bank (SNB), and European Central Bank (ECB) on March 19.

Until recently, markets expected most major central banks, led by the Fed, to steadily cut interest rates (or avoid tightening) this year. The rapid emergence of artificial intelligence as a disinflationary force — with the potential to disrupt the labor market — had reinforced this bias for lower borrowing costs. 阿特金斯表示，双向执法的时代已经结束。未来，两家机构将在现有法律框架下携手合作，共同实现同一目标。

阿特金斯还补充说，他已指示其工作人员开始与CFTC就产品申请举行联合会议。

Cypherpunk Technologies (Nasdaq: CYPH) announced a $5 million investment in Zcash Open Development Lab (ZODL). Cypherpunk Technologies is a privacy-focused digital asset investment company. The deal marks the firm’s first technology investment outside direct holdings of $ZEC.

ZODL, a Zcash development and wallet infrastructure startup, was founded by former Electric Coin Company CEO Josh Swihart. Electric Coin Company is the original developer behind the Zcash protocol. Swihart and several former team members joined the new organization to continue building tools for the privacy-focused cryptocurrency network.

The group previously created the Zashi wallet, a simple mobile wallet designed for Zcash users. The product has now been rebranded as Zodl. Zashi gained attention in 2025 after helping expand usage of the Orchard shielded pool. During that year, the amount of $ZEC in the pool increased from about 1 million to nearly 4 million coins.

ZODL now holds the wallet technology and related intellectual property. The organization plans to continue improving the application while also contributing to development at the Zcash protocol level.
