Typically, between 60% and 80% of the released tokens are immediately re-locked in new escrow contracts. This strategy limits the actual monthly circulating supply increase to between 200 million and 400 million XRP, which is primarily used to facilitate cross-border payment liquidity and ecosystem development.
Market Outlook and Prediction
From a technical perspective, XRP currently reflects a period of consolidation. Trading near $1.45 with a neutral Relative Strength Index (RSI) of 50.69, the asset is testing its 50-day moving average. While the immediate trend remains cautious—staying below the 200-day average of $2.14—analysts predict that as the market fully prices in these predictable monthly unlocks, volatility will decrease. If Ripple maintains this programmatic scarcity and continues its institutional expansion, the asset is well-positioned for a recovery toward the $2.00 threshold as macro sentiment improves.
