Bitmine Immersion Technologies has once again made the headlines.

On 02 March, the company announced it now controls assets worth $9.9 billion, involving 4.47 million ETH. That equals about 3.71% of all Ethereum [ETH] currently in circulation.

This move pushes Bitmine further along its “Alchemy of 5%” roadmap. With ETH trading near $1,976 at press time, the company is now clearly positioning itself for a long-term Ethereum bet, rather than a short-term price swing.

Additionally, it is actively staking 68% of its ETH. That is more than 3 million tokens, bringing in about $172 million per year in revenue.

Bitmine’s Ethereum game plan
In the last week of February, the company added 50,928 ETH, pushing its total staked Ethereum to 3.04 million ETH, worth around $6 billion.

Among public companies that hold crypto, Bitmine now ranks just behind Strategy, which owns 720,737 BTC worth about $47.5 billion. Strategy dominates Bitcoin [BTC], and Bitmine is trying to do something similar with Ethereum.

Additionally, BMNR stock also climbed by 7.48% to $20.40 as per Google Finance data.

Meanwhile, ETH was trading at $1,966.65 after a hike of 1.45% in the last 24 hours.

Ethereum’s MVRV paints a concerning picture
Interestingly, Ethereum’s on-chain data showed signs of capitulation. This suggested that many short-term holders may be sitting on losses, and fear might be high.

According to Santiment, Ethereum’s 30-day MVRV ratio recently dropped into deeply negative territory, reaching extreme lows near -30%. This implied that most short-term ETH holders were sitting on heavy unrealized losses – A classic sign of capitulation.

While the MVRV soon bounced slightly from those lows, it was still negative at press time. It had a value of around -16%, showing that recent buyers remain underwater.

However, the more important shift is in the weighted sentiment.

Van Eck's remarks come as Bitcoin traded around $67,400 at the time of reporting, up roughly 2.6% over the prior 24 hours and about 7.6% over the past seven days.
VanEck CEO Jan van Eck said Monday that Bitcoin is close to its cyclical low, pointing to the four-year Bitcoin halving cycle as the primary factor weighing on prices in recent months. Speaking on CNBC, van Eck argued that analysts have overcomplicated the recent price decline by looking beyond the cycle itself.

"There's been an investing cycle, Bitcoin goes up three years in a row, goes down pretty massively in that fourth year; 2026 is that fourth year. So that's why we are in a Bitcoin bear market. So I think we can overcomplicate it. Now I think we are making a bottom," van Eck said. He added that Bitcoin's supply is capped at 21 million and that the halving mechanism, which cuts miner rewards in half every four years, is the dominant force shaping price behavior over time.

Van Eck's remarks come as Bitcoin traded around $67,400 at the time of reporting, up roughly 2.6% over the prior 24 hours and about 7.6% over the past seven days. The crypto market has seen a partial recovery after weeks of pressure.

The four-year cycle remains a contested framework among analysts. Arguments against its continued relevance include growing demand from exchange-traded funds, a weakening U.S. dollar, and a more favorable regulatory environment, all of which some analysts argue have altered the market's behavior relative to prior cycles.

Van Eck also addressed the recent Bitcoin recovery in the context of rising geopolitical tensions, speculating that the conflict may be a partial driver of renewed interest in crypto. He cited the role of crypto payment rails in moving funds outside the traditional banking system during periods of economic uncertainty.

The initial five-wave advance into the 2021 high was followed by a corrective phase that retraced toward prior wave four territory, forming a macro wave two. A subsequent rally into the 2021 peak is viewed as wave three, followed by a decline into June 2022, marking wave four.

Since then, price action has traced a developing five-wave structure that could complete final wave five.

From this perspective, the current pullback is characterized as a controlled correction, with A and B waves of similar magnitude finding support above the 2022 lows. Even after an 87% drawdown from the peak on a logarithmic scale, Dogecoin is still exponentially higher than its pre-breakout base.

With that, Zeberg argues that meme coins could experience another speculative surge if other risk assets, such as the Nasdaq and Ethereum, resume upward momentum. Don’t rule out a move toward new all-time highs, with projections suggesting gains of up to twelve times from current levels, potentially extending beyond $0.76.

The acquisition adds approximately 3.05 exahashes per second of computing capacity, bringing American Bitcoin's total owned fleet to 89,242 miners with a combined 28.1 EH/s of capacity.

Each new miner is rated at 13.5 joules per terahash, an energy efficiency figure that directly influences operating margins in an industry where power costs represent the dominant expense. The 12% increase in fleet size modestly improves the company's share of the global Bitcoin network hash rate, which currently stands at a network difficulty of 144.40 trillion, a level that has held since Feb. 19, according to CoinWarz.

Based on current network data, the added 3.05 EH/s represents roughly 0.3% of total global hash rate. That share would produce approximately 42 Bitcoin per month, or around 515 Bitcoin per year. At a Bitcoin price near $68,000, that translates to approximately $2.9 million in monthly gross revenue and $35 million annually, before factoring in electricity costs, pool fees, and future difficulty adjustments.
