Ripple chief Brad Garlinghouse has fueled fresh speculation within the XRP community after hinting that XRP holders could receive "something special" if his company eventually moves forward with plans to become a publicly traded company.

The comments were made during a recent appearance on the Crypto in America podcast hosted by journalist Eleanor Terrett, where Garlinghouse discussed the possibility of a future IPO for Ripple. He, however, emphasized that the company is not currently prioritizing a public listing.

During the interview, Terrett highlighted criticism that Ripple has grown into a major private-company success story, while holders of XRP remain financially distinct from the company's equity structure and do not directly participate in its corporate ownership.

However, the latest session saw around $277 million in net outflows, signaling a short-term shift in investor sentiment as traders reacted to macro uncertainty and sharp price swings.

Despite the pullback, some institutional products continued attracting capital. Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin ETF reportedly maintained positive inflows, showing that institutional demand has not disappeared entirely. 

Analysts say the outflow day may represent short-term profit-taking rather than a full trend reversal, especially after the strong inflow momentum seen in recent weeks.

Bottom line:
Bitcoin ETF inflows have paused after a strong multi-day run, as volatility and macro uncertainty triggered temporary risk reduction across crypto markets. However, institutional interest in Bitcoin exposure remains structurally strong.
