Jonathan Levin officially assumed the role of CEO in December 2024, succeeding fellow co-founder Michael Gronage. Under his leadership, Chainalysis has recently focused on expanding its presence in regions like Tel Aviv and Dubai, while ramping up M&A activity with acquisitions like Transposer. Before becoming CEO, Levin served as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for nearly a decade, leading strategic initiatives, regulatory outreach, and government affairs. Prior to Chainalysis, he co-founded and served as CEO of Coinometrics, which provided some of the industry’s first blockchain intelligence dashboards. Levin is a prominent voice in the cryptocurrency industry, frequently providing expert insights to policymakers.  He has testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee and the House Financial Services Committee multiple times, most recently in July 2025, regarding the role of digital assets in illicit finance. He is a mentor for the Techstars Alchemist Blockchain accelerator and frequently appears on TV, on platforms like C-SPAN, to discuss blockchain security and adoption. Lido DAO [$LDO] has been showing price strength since the proposed buyback program in March came to an end.

At press time, the $LDO price has surged over 17% in the past 24 hours, with trading volume jumping 129% to reach $100 million. Notably, activity and tightening of supply are also increasing.

Decoding $LDO’s price rally

Aggressive buys, as indicated by the daily trading volume spike, drove the rally. Moreover, activity and fundamentals contributed to the sentiment around $LDO, leading to increased speculative trading.

Notably, the DAO has grown significantly, with Lido Finance surpassing Rocket Pool to become Ethereum’s top permissionless staking solution. The number of active validators has now surpassed 100, slightly ahead of Rocket Pool’s count.
Additionally, through a vote, the DAO passed their second buyback program proposal for $LDO tokens. The plan involves acquiring $LDO worth 10,000 $ETH in 1,000 $ETH increments.

Moreover, the Transfer Amount rose from 11.77 million $LDO to 48.59 million $LDO. This was more than a 4x increase in 24 hours, while Transfer Count nearly tripled from 641 to 1841. Such growth indicated growing network activity on the staking solution.
Currently, $LDO is the largest permissionless staking solution for $ETH in terms of the number of active validators and the $ETH market cap. Its staked $ETH market cap was $22.44 billion, followed by Kelp DAO and Rocket Pool at $1.62 billion and $932 million, respectively.

While most of the metrics were bullish on $LDO presently, the price action did not have a defined directional bias.

Can $LDO sustain the breakout?

The charts showed that $LDO had printed a double bottom pattern, and price action had broken above the neckline at $0.3366. The altcoin has been trading between the neckline and the bottom at around $0.2725.

A crypto scam posing as the official Ledger Live hardware wallet app passed Apple's App Store review process and drained at least $9.5 million from more than 50 victims across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, and XRP between April 7 and April 13, with stolen funds routed through more than 150 KuCoin deposit addresses and into a centralized mixing service. In simple terms:
The price is stabilizing, but the trend is not yet reversing.
The BMNR loss is more than just an isolated corporate event — it reflects a deeper structural issue. Large-scale ETH treasury strategies depend heavily on sustained upward price trends. When markets stall or turn lower, unrealized losses can expand rapidly, creating pressure on institutional balance sheets and raising concerns about potential repositioning or risk reduction.
Even without immediate selling, such losses tend to impact sentiment across the market. Institutional stress often translates into tighter liquidity expectations and more cautious investor behavior.
From a technical perspective, Ethereum is now facing a key $2,350–$2,400 resistance band. A confirmed breakout above this zone could open the door toward $2,700–$3,000, signaling a stronger recovery phase.
However, failure to break through would reinforce the idea that the current move is simply a relief rally within a broader downtrend.
