Daily Chart: The Macro Bias Behind the $XRP Trend
The daily chart still reads as neutral, not bullish, because the rally has not cleared the long-term trend structure. $XRP closed at $1.19 with an RSI14 of 72.39, which places price firmly in overbought territory and usually precedes at least a pause, even in strong trends.

The MACD line sits at 0.00 against a signal line of -0.02, producing a modest positive histogram of 0.02. That marks a fresh, early-stage bullish cross rather than a confirmed one, so the daily momentum shift is real but still young.

The EMA structure deserves the most attention. Price is trading above both the 20-day EMA (1.05) and the 50-day EMA (1.08), which looks constructive on the surface. However, the 200-day EMA sits at 1.34, well above the current price.

That gap matters: $XRP is still technically below its long-term average, so this rally is happening inside a broader corrective structure rather than confirming a fresh long-term uptrend. This is why the system classifies the daily regime as neutral rather than bullish. The short-term

Bitcoin's jump above $71,000 sets up bullish golden cross pattern

Bitcoin BTC$71,936.32 may be moving closer to forming a “golden cross”, a technical pattern commonly interpreted as a bullish long-term momentum signal. The pattern would emerge if bitcoin’s 50-day simple moving average (SMA), currently at $63,976, continues to rise and crosses above its 200-day SMA, currently at $69,005.

The potential crossover comes as bitcoin trades above $71,000, having gained more than 12% over the past week. The price is also slightly above its 200-day SMA.

The 200-day SMA tracks bitcoin’s average closing price over the previous 200 days and is widely used to gauge the market’s long-term trend. A sustained move above it can signal a shift from a bear market to a bull market, while a move below it can indicate the reverse.

Bitcoin had traded below its 200-day SMA since October 2025, when its price was roughly $110,000, indicating its long-term downtrend.

The price typically rises before the crossover occurs, meaning traders who waited for confirmation may have missed part of the move. Golden crosses have occurred in February 2023, October 2023, October 2024 and April 2025, all of which preceded further rallies in bitcoin’s price.

However, this could still be a relief rally rather than the beginning of a sustained uptrend. A decisive move back below the 200-day SMA could invalidate the case that bitcoin’s longer-term trend has turned bullish.

Trump Urges Senate to Pass Crypto’s CLARITY Act, Teases More Bitcoin Buys

After gathering with digital asset executives, Trump urged lawmakers to get the crypto market structure bill over the line.
U.S. President Donald Trump urged lawmakers to pass the Clarity Act on Wednesday — and also hinted that the government may accumulate more bitcoin. 

After gathering with crypto executives at the White House, President Trump said that getting the Clarity Act over the line would keep the U.S. ahead of China. 

Lawmakers were hoping to get a vote on the crypto market structure bill, or Clarity Act, in August. A vote will now go ahead in September. The bill will establish a framework for distinguishing between digital assets that are securities, commodities or payment stablecoins. 

“We’re ensuring that America remains the undisputed leader in not only Bitcoin and crypto, but also technologies like prediction markets, artificial intelligence and much more,” President Trump said. 

He added: “Now we need Congress to take the next step by passing the Clarity Act — a fair version of the Clarity Act — and this landmark structure legislation. It’s a very, very powerful structured legislation which will keep us ahead of China, and keep us ahead of everyone else.”

When asked if the U.S. government would be accumulating bitcoin, President Trump said: “It’s been talked about — it’s taken a lot of pressure off the dollar, it’s been very, very good for the dollar, and I think if [regulators] came in with recommendations, I would certainly listen.”

President Trump signed an executive order to establish a strategic bitcoin reserve last year. The order states that the U.S. cannot sell any of the bitcoin it has, most of which has been seized in law enforcement operations. But the EO does not commit to buying the asset.
