Bitcoin dropped below $62,000 amid heavy selling, while Ethereum bulls failed to defend the support at $1,700. XRP and Dogecoin recorded sharp declines as well.


Over $560 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, with $490 million in bullish long positions wiped out, according to Coinglass data.

Roughly $350 million in Bitcoin longs were at risk of liquidation if the price dropped to $60,000.

According to an updated members' agreement, residents of India are now prohibited from accessing the platform, bringing the total number of restricted jurisdictions to 55.

The move follows increasing scrutiny from Indian regulators. Earlier this year, India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology reportedly warned VPN providers against facilitating access to blocked prediction market and online betting platforms. The single currency slipped below the 171 yen threshold, marking its lowest level in nearly two weeks.

German Manufacturing PMI Stagnates

Germany's manufacturing sector showed no signs of recovery in June, with the HCOB German Manufacturing PMI holding steady at 45.4, unchanged from May's reading. The figure remained firmly in contraction territory, below the 50.0 threshold that separates growth from contraction. Analysts had expected a modest improvement to 46.0, making the stagnation a downside surprise for currency markets.

The persistent weakness in German manufacturing reflects ongoing headwinds including subdued global demand, elevated energy costs, and structural challenges in the automotive and industrial sectors. New orders continued to decline, while export demand remained particularly weak, especially from key trading partners in Asia.

However, the $1.13 level continues to hold as significant support on a weekly closing basis, which is the timeframe that matters most for confirming any directional move.

That level has been in focus for a long time. When $XRP was trading well above $1.30, the call was that a break below $1.30 would produce a swift move toward $1.13. That played out precisely. Now $1.13 is the line that separates the current situation from a more serious breakdown. A confirmed weekly candle close below it, followed by a failure to recover above it, would open the path toward a sub-dollar target in the $0.87 to $0.90 range.
