On June 23, Google announced its support for a 12-week incubation program aimed at helping former employees launch artificial intelligence startups. Funded by the Google AI Future Fund, the program will provide selected startups with up to $350,000 in Google Cloud and AI credits, as well as up to $100,000 in funding support. The organizers expect to select 10 to 20 startups for the first cohort. The program is set to be announced on Tuesday, coinciding with Google's efforts to attract more AI companies to use its chips and cloud computing services. By working more closely with its large alumni network, known as 'Xooglers,' Google aims to build deeper relationships with a new generation of AI companies that could become significant clients in the future. Former Google employee Kushagra Shrivastava stated, 'Many founders in our community are now leveraging AI, but they lack systematic support.' Former Google employee Chris Fong remarked, 'Gaining access to this level of support is very rare.' He founded the Xoogler community platform, which is also one of the supporters of the new incubation program. Fong noted that his Google alumni network has expanded to over 35,000 members worldwide, including 2,500 qualified investors.
