Oracle reduced its global workforce by approximately 21,000 employees, or 13%, during fiscal 2026 as the company continued a major restructuring effort while expanding its artificial intelligence and cloud computing operations.According to Oracle’s annual report released Monday, the company employed 141,000 workers as of May 31, 2026, down from roughly 162,000 employees a year earlier. Oracle said the workforce adjustments were influenced by several factors, including management changes, product realignments, employee performance reviews, strategic business shifts, and acquisitions.The latest figures follow reports earlier this year indicating that Oracle had eliminated thousands of positions across multiple business units. Cardano Founder Reveals SpaceX Discussion Details, Shares Bullish Crypto PredictionWhile short-term market weakness continues to worry investors, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said that many traders are missing the bigger catch. Speaking in a recent podcast, Hoskinson urged the crypto community to stop focusing on daily price swings and instead pay attention to the massive long-term growth happening across the industry. Cardano, he noted, often benefits from a long-term focus over reacting to short-term market moves.

Hoskinson made it clear that short-term price drops do not change his overall outlook on crypto, especially regarding Cardano development and adoption.

“Crypto is the opt out. Crypto is the exit. Crypto is the solution,” Hoskinson said.

According to him, market ups and downs are normal, but the broader trend remains firmly upward. He pointed out that the crypto industry already has around 550 million users worldwide and expects that number to grow to one billion by 2030. As a result, Cardano could see even greater adoption in the coming years.

Hoskinson also predicted that a good portion of global financial assets could eventually move on-chain, with Cardano potentially playing a significant role.

“There’s 550 million people in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, and there’s going to be a billion by 2030,” he said.

Ethereum operates as a single, unified smart contract platform that scales through Layer 2 rollups. How Each Network Is Actually Built
Ethereum is a general-purpose blockchain based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Its primary focus is executing smart contracts, and it achieves scalability via rollups, which are secondary protocols that use Ethereum as a settlement layer.

Polkadot, by contrast, is a heterogeneous, multi-chain protocol, often called a "Layer 0" or meta-protocol, that hosts multiple Layer 1 blockchains and allows them to share security. Each parachain, also called an appchain, is specialized toward a specific focus and optimized for that goal.

In plain terms: Ethereum is one big chain with many applications layered on top. Polkadot is a coordination layer for many purpose-built chains running in parallel.

What Are Parachains?
A parachain is an individual blockchain that connects to Polkadot's central Relay Chain. Each one can have its own logic, governance rules, and tokenomics, while still inheriting security from the Relay Chain's validator set. Think of the Relay Chain as a federal government and each parachain as an independent state, accountable to the federation but running its own affairs.

The litigation gained momentum after short seller J Capital Research published a critical report in January 2024, prompting a slide of more than 23% in Hut 8's share price.

According to a court filing, the $2.35 million recovery represents roughly 19.6% of the estimated maximum recoverable damages, exceeding the 12.9% median and 14.6% average recovery rates for Securities Act-only settlements in 2025.

As part of the agreement, Hut 8 denies any wrongdoing or liability. Hut 8 shares have gained more than 640% over the past year.
