SpaceX’s $600 billion plunge erased nearly half of bitcoin’s market cap in three days.SpaceX's stock has lost more than $600 billion in market value over three trading days, which is nearly half of bitcoin's $1.3 trillion market cap, after announcing its first bond sale.

Bitcoin fell less than 1% over the same stretch, holding near $63,600, per CoinDesk data.

The stock dropped 16% on Monday to $154.60, its lowest since its June 12 debut, taking its three-day decline to about 23%. The trigger was supposedly a plan to sell at least $20 billion of bonds, the company's first time borrowing in the debt markets, to fund the artificial-intelligence buildout it took on when it bought Elon Musk's xAI in February.

SpaceX chose to borrow rather than issue new shares, which would have diluted existing holders. A week ago it, was worth nearly $2.5 trillion and had briefly passed Amazon and Microsoft but now sits just above $2 trillion.

The selling ran into Tuesday, with a perpetual futures contract that tracks SpaceX on Hyperliquid down another 15% to around $151.

Shiba Inu ($SHIB), once one of the crypto market’s biggest success stories, is facing a prolonged downturn.

The dog-themed cryptocurrency has lost more than 32% of its value this year and trades roughly 95% below its record high from the 2021 bull market.

The decline reflects a broader shift in investor sentiment. During the 2020–2021 crypto boom, meme coins thrived on social media hype, speculation, and retail enthusiasm.

As the digital asset industry matures, investors have increasingly favored projects with tangible utility and real-world applications over purely speculative assets.

The meme coin sector has lost momentum as investors rotate toward projects with stronger fundamentals.

Many meme-based cryptocurrencies struggle to maintain long-term demand because they offer limited utility beyond speculative trading.

$SHIB remains highly correlated with Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market. Weakness in Bitcoin has amplified selling pressure across altcoins, including Shiba Inu.

Some market participants believe investors have shifted capital away from cryptocurrencies and into high-profile private-market opportunities and upcoming public offerings.

This rotation has reduced liquidity flowing into speculative crypto assets.

Despite the sharp price decline, Shiba Inu remains one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, valued at roughly $2.8 billion to $3 billion.

Unlike many meme coins, $SHIB has expanded beyond its original concept by developing an ecosystem that includes:

Shibarium, a Layer-2 blockchain network designed to improve scalability and reduce transaction costs.

These developments have helped transform $SHIB from a purely speculative token into a project with growing utility.

THORChain resumes trading more than a month after $10M exploitTHORChain has resumed activity after over a month of security verifications and upgrades, following a $10.7 million exploit that prompted a trading halt on May 15.

In a Tuesday X post, THORChain said it restored its network, including trading, signing, swaps and liquidity provider actions.

On Sunday, the protocol said it had confirmed the safety of most of its vaults through the KeyVerify protocol and retired the remaining legacy vaults as part of a migration to a new set of vaults. THORChain called the upgrade the “most significant milestone” in its recovery process. It also said it completed verification of every node's keyshare on Friday.

THORChain is one of the crypto industry's largest cross-chain trading protocols, enabling swaps between networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. The protocol has drawn scrutiny from blockchain investigators because hackers have used it to move stolen funds between blockchains.
