Franklin Templeton's new ETF will convert dividends from U.S. companies into Bitcoin investments.

Following BlackRock's launch of a yield-oriented Bitcoin ETF, Franklin Templeton's dividend-linked ETF joins the ranks of issuers seeking their next product category.

Franklin Templeton has filed applications for two ETFs that will purchase U.S. stocks and reinvest dividends in Bitcoin-linked assets.

This design, combining stock investment with automatic Bitcoin accumulation, aims to attract investors who prefer traditional ETFs to direct cryptocurrency investment.

SEC approval, fees, ticker symbol, and launch date have not yet been disclosed, and tax risks and Bitcoin volatility could change the final outcome.

Franklin Templeton, a management company with $1.78 trillion in assets under management, is attempting to further integrate cryptocurrency into its traditional portfolio with a new product that will automatically convert stock dividends into Bitcoin investments.

On June 18, a management company filed documents with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) outlining plans to launch two exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that will invest in U.S. stocks and channel company dividends into digital assets.

The two proposed funds are the Franklin US Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF and the Franklin US Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF. They will combine one of Wall Street's most established investment strategies—dividend reinvestment—with investment in the world's largest cryptocurrency.

This structure will allow investors to hold core positions in major U.S. stocks and gradually accumulate Bitcoin-related assets using the earnings generated by these companies. This structure eliminates the need for investors to make an initial direct investment in cryptocurrencies; instead, it builds positions gradually through a rules-base
