Uniswap [UNI] staged an aggressive recovery after buyers returned across the market and pushed the token out of a prolonged period of weakness. 

Over the last 24 hours, UNI gained 22.41%, while its market capitalization climbed 22.36% to $2.19 billion. Trading activity strengthened even further, with volume surging 110.49% to more than $560 million. 

Such a sharp increase suggested that traders had re-entered the market with conviction rather than reacting to a short-lived price fluctuation. The rally also arrived as several major altcoins posted gains, which helped improve sentiment across the broader market.

Strategy’s STRC preferred stock experienced significant pressure after investors reacted cautiously to the company’s latest Bitcoin acquisitions. The security fell to approximately $91.79, trading well below its intended $100 par value and raising concerns about investor confidence in the company’s current capital allocation strategy.

Market analysts suggest that investors are increasingly questioning whether continued Bitcoin purchases are the best use of company resources. While Strategy remains one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin, some shareholders appear concerned that additional acquisitions could reduce financial flexibility needed to maintain attractive dividend payments for STRC investors.

The company recently expanded its Bitcoin treasury by purchasing more than 3,100 BTC across two consecutive weeks, investing roughly $200 million in total. These purchases increased Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to over 846,000 BTC, further strengthening its position as the largest publicly known corporate Bitcoin holder.

However, the market response indicates that income-focused investors may prioritize stable cash flows over aggressive Bitcoin accumulation. Since STRC was designed to provide a variable dividend yield, investors are closely monitoring whether future cash resources will support dividend distributions or continue funding additional Bitcoin purchases.

Broader risk-off sentiment across cryptocurrency markets has also contributed to the decline. Investors remain cautious amid macroeconomic uncertainty, fluctuating risk appetite, and increased competition from alternative yield-focused financial products. Rival offerings are attracting attention by providing competitive returns while maintaining stronger

Strategy’s STRC falls to $91 as investors flinch at latest BTC buyingStrategy’s perpetual preferred stock STRC fell near record lows on Tuesday as investors seemingly balked at the company’s latest Bitcoin acquisitions.

Michael Saylor’s variable-rate perpetual “Stretch” Bitcoin yield product declined by 3.58% to $91.79 on Tuesday, 8.2% below its target value of $100. Markus Thielen, CEO of 10x Research, said the dip is linked to Strategy’s recent Bitcoin buying.

“The market would rather see MicroStrategy [Strategy] not acquiring more $BTC and rather keep the cash for dividend payments,” Thielen told Cointelegraph. “It appears traders are seeing the latest $BTC acquisition as an unsustainable path for STRC.”

Stretch is designed to return a dividend of 11.5%, trading at a par value of $100, but the current effective yield, now that the shares have dipped, is 12.5%. This means the firm may need the cash to support the yield rather than spending it to buy more $BTC.

On Monday, Strategy said it acquired 1,587 Bitcoin for around $100 million last week. The week before, it purchased 1,550 $BTC, also for about $100 million. The combined purchases brought its holdings to 846,842 Bitcoin.
