Ethereum exchange reserves have fallen to their lowest level in nearly a decade, leaving around 14.5 million $ETH on centralized platforms and reducing the amount of liquid supply available for sale.
At the same time, futures traders continue building bullish positions even as spot demand remains relatively subdued.
Analysts argue that a return of spot buyers could create a supply imbalance, potentially supporting stronger price action in the months ahead.
Ethereum exchange reserves have reached their lowest level in 10 years, renewing debate over whether the market is moving toward a supply shock. The trend reflects investors shifting $ETH into staking, self-custody, and decentralized finance, while liquid supply on exchanges continues to shrink.

Why are big investors buying HYPE?

Growing interest from whales and large market participants continued to support HYPE’s rally.

Recently, Onchain Lens reported that a whale deposited $5.5 million in USDC to Hyperliquid and opened a long position on 120,000 HYPE worth $7.86 million using 10x leverage.

Meanwhile, another analyst reported that wallet address 0xf7A withdrew 47,000 HYPE worth $3.16 million from Bybit.

On top of that, Wall Street investors appeared to be following a similar trend. According to SoSoValue, HYPE spot ETFs recorded $17.19 million in inflows on the 15th of June 2026. The inflows pointed to growing demand from traditional investors and added another layer of support to the rally.

The Federal Reserve will announce its first interest rate decision under new Chairman Kevin Warsh tomorrow. The biggest question mark for Warsh, nominated by President Donald Trump at the end of January to head the Fed, is whether he will pursue interest rate hikes to control inflation or whether he will open the door to rate cuts, as Trump has long demanded.

Warsh will chair his first Federal Open Market Committee meeting as chairman on Wednesday and will hold a press conference after the decision. Bond markets, in particular, are expected to react sensitively to the messages Warsh delivers.

UBS economist Jonathan Pingle, in a note he published, stated that the press conference would be critically important, saying, “This will be Kevin Warsh’s first public appearance as chairman. We really don’t know what his policy views are.”

Economists expect Warsh to adopt a more neutral stance at his first meeting. The main reason for this is that the Fed has to make decisions in a very challenging economic environment.
