Crypto markets have already priced in a steady hand at the Federal Reserve. The first FOMC meeting led by new Chair Kevin Warsh is set to begin on June 16, and prediction markets on platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi assign a 99% probability that rates will stay put, according to the Santiment update from Monday. That removes a major variable that has kept risk assets on edge for months.

The immediate market focus has shifted. No longer is the question whether the central bank touches borrowing costs, but rather what Warsh signals about the months ahead. Investors are now treating a pause as a baseline and scanning for hints that policymakers are willing to let conditions settle. For crypto, that shift matters. Stability, even at restrictive levels, can be a catalyst when it clears away one more layer of uncertainty.

A mild relief rally was already taking shape after the U.S. and Iran announced a deal over the weekend, offering a real-world geopolitical tailwind. The combination of a widely expected FOMC hold and a de-escalation overseas is giving risk assets a rare bit of breathing room. The risk for traders is that the meeting turns into a non-event, where the decision itself offers no fresh impulse. The upside is that a balanced tone from Warsh could be read as opening the door to improved liquidity conditions later in the year.
The Real Question: What Warsh Says Next

Stable rates alone won’t move crypto prices much in the short term. The reaction, if any, will come from the accompanying statement and the press conference. Uniswap has spent a long time under persistent selling pressure, within a strong descending trend that is believed to end soon. The token has been forming consistent lower highs and lows and could have formed the bottom of the prevailing bearish trend. The recent rise of nearly 15% in the past 24 hours and over 21% in weekly gains suggests that the bulls have revived their confidence in the token. 

With UNI price rebounding from multi-year lows and several momentum indicators showing early signs of recovery, traders are beginning to ask whether the token has already formed its cycle bottom. Here’s what the charts are signaling.

The Uniswap price in the long-term has remained stuck within a falling wedge since late 2024 and found a strong support near $2.20 to $2.40. The latest rebound pushed UNI back above $3 as the bearish influence over the token has faded to some extent. Currently, the price is attempting to enter a crucial zone between $3.22 and $4.15,  where large institutional orders are believed to have been placed. Hence, this area could be acting as a strong resistance as well as a strong support zone. 

The weekly RSI has reached the lower threshold and is repeatedly attempting to trigger a strong rebound, while DMI is heading towards a bullish crossover. Moreover, the MACD is incremental, heading the average zone, and the levels display the possibility of a potential bullish crossover. With this, the price could probably rise above the wedge and reach the initial target at $4. If the bulls manage to transform $4 into a strong base, the Uniswap price may continue to rise towards higher targets.

Institutional buying and relative strength support Ethereum breakout
Two key signals suggest Ethereum’s move may be more than just a short-term squeeze. 



One of them is continued institutional accumulation. According to Lookonchain, BitMine bought 76,881 ETH worth roughly $135.6 million last week, bringing its total holdings to 5.62 million ETH, valued at nearly $9.9 billion.

What’s particularly notable is that the firm’s average acquisition cost is around $3,450 per ETH. 

So, at current prices, the position remains significantly underwater on paper, yet BitMine continues to add to its holdings. The second signal is Ethereum’s relative strength.

ETH climbed 3.16% on the 15th of June, marking its strongest daily gain in nearly two weeks and outperforming Bitcoin during the risk-on move.


Taken together, Ethereum reclaiming a key level, outperforming BTC, and buying from BMNR all support the bullish case. In that context, the move back above $1.8k looks like more than just a short-squeeze reaction. 

Instead, it suggests traders are starting to position for a larger move higher, with growing FOMO in the derivatives market adding fuel to the rally. As more participants rush to increase exposure, the momentum behind ETH’s breakout continues to strengthen, increasing the risk of a bear trap.
