What Was Announced

The product list includes tokenized U.S. stocks for non-U.S. customers launching next month, backed 1:1 by the underlying asset with full shareholder rights, dividend payouts, and the ability to lend shares for yield or use them as collateral. U.S. customers are excluded per regulatory disclosures.

On the lending side, Coinbase is now accepting bitcoin as collateral for home mortgages in partnership with Better, with Fannie Mae backing the structure. Customers can pledge BTC without selling it to qualify for a home purchase.

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, could soon face one of its biggest regulatory challenges in Europe. Reports suggest its application is facing a potential rejection of its MiCA license application in Greece.

If approval doesn’t arrive in time, Binance could lose legal access to a market of nearly 450 million people across all 27 EU member states.

Why Binance Could Lose EU License
The issue centers around the European Union’s new Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) rules, which become fully effective on July 1. Under MiCA, crypto firms need a single approved license to legally operate across all 27 EU member states.

Binance chose Greece as its European base and submitted its application through a Greek subsidiary in January 2026. The company spent the last 18 months working with regulators and building its compliance framework around MiCA requirements.

Meanwhile, some sources suggest that Greece’s Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) is expected to reject the application. 

If that happens, Binance could lose the legal ability to offer services across the EU unless it secures approval elsewhere.

Binance’s Biggest Compliance Test
Since Changpeng Zhao stepped down and Richard Teng took over, Binance has spent years attempting to rebuild trust with regulators following investigations and enforcement actions across multiple jurisdictions.

Dogecoin Is Not Moving Like the Rest of the Crypto Market, but What Does This Mean?
A recent Dogecoin price analysis points to a divergence in trend between the prominent meme coin and most of the crypto market.

Analyst Moe highlighted this in an X post, as Dogecoin surprisingly trends downward while the broader crypto market is rebounding. For context, Bitcoin is up 1% and XRP by 3.6% since the start of the week. In contrast, DOGE has corrected almost 2% in the same timeframe, playing contrarian to the broader recovery trend.

Moe’s analysis pointed out that this trend extends beyond this week alone. An accompanying chart shows that Dogecoin is forming a lower high on the daily chart while the crypto market cap excluding the top 10 is on a higher low trend.
The analogy suggests that Dogecoin is showing weakness against most major assets outside the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap. While it might not seem like it now, the analyst believes this holds long-term bullish implications for the meme coin.

Further analysis emphasizes that there are precedents for this narrative. There have been several situations where DOGE has formed a similar divergence against other cryptocurrencies outside the first 10 market cap ranking in its history.

The first instance was between late 2018 and early 2022, when the token formed lower highs. During the same period, others formed higher lows. Notably, when the broader market turned bullish, Dogecoin bounced considerably to its current ATH of $0.74.

Similar instances happened in late 2021 and 2022, and in the current market. How past events unfolded continues to fuel Moe’s confidence as to how Dogecoin will react to this.
