These funds were subsequently bridged to the Ethereum network.
The financial metrics of this maneuver highlight a substantial net loss for the exploiter. While the initial capital deployed for the attack was estimated at $9.92 million, the current reclaimed value stands at just $5 million. This 50% "drawdown" suggests either a failure in the attacker's original economic model or a desperate attempt to seek liquidity in a more robust ecosystem like Ethereum.
Market Prediction
The timing of this consolidation is critical. With Polymarket data currently showing a 49% probability that Bitcoin will drop to $65,000 this month, the attacker’s pivot to ETH suggests a hedge against further volatility in the BSC ecosystem. Historically, such "bad debt" liquidations and attacker movements precede periods of heightened sell pressure. If the attacker liquidates this $4.7 million in ETH through decentralized mixers or over-the-counter (OTC) channels, we could see localized price suppression, reinforcing the bearish prediction of a sub-$65k Bitcoin retest before the month concludes.
