Bitcoin vs Ethereum – How April’s recovery exposes market divide between themBitcoin [$BTC] has been on a wild ride four months into 2026. After experiencing volatility in March, the leading cryptocurrency recovered in April. Even though the year got off to a great start, Bitcoin dropped to a low of $65K in March.

Only in April did Bitcoin manage to break $70,000, and by May, it had surpassed $80,000. On the contrary, Ethereum’s price dropped to $1,943 in March, but it recovered to $2,421 in April. At the time of writing, it was trading at $2,388.

Although the price patterns appear to be fairly similar, recent analyses by CryptoQuant indicated that the supply-demand structure of Ethereum [$ETH] and Bitcoin has differed.

At the time of writing, the Coinbase Premium Index of Bitcoin indicated that institutions, rather than just retailers, were responsible for April’s rally.Similarly, Ethereum too flashed signs of strong backup from institutions, even though $BTC was given more preference in capital allocation.Simultaneously, Bitcoin’s Exchange Netflow chart demonstrated more outflow spikes – A sign of sustained accumulation and decreased sell-side supply.

Remarking on the same, XWIN, a Japanese DeFi asset management platform, noted,

$BTC’s rally was supported by both strong demand and constrained supply.

For its part though, Ethereum has been more influenced by erratic exchange netflows, where short-term movements were determined by changes in supply. Instead of demand-driven growth, $ETH has so far seen a reactive, supply-driven structure.Again, XWIN, a Japanese DeFi asset management platform, noted,

If $ETH begins to show sustained spot demand similar to $BTC, broader altcoin participation may follow. Until then, Bitcoin dominance is likely to persist.

Vincent Chok, the CEO of First Digital Trust, the Hong Kong-based custodian that Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron network, has been locked in a years-long legal battle with, interjected today as Sun faces a new lawsuit that traces up to the office of the president of the United States.

The executive implied that Justin Sun was the troublemaker in both instances of his publicly chronicled legal drama after Sun was hit with a defamation lawsuit by the Trump family’s DeFi project, World Liberty Financial ($WLFI).

Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron blockchain (TRX) and advisor to World Liberty Financial ($WLFI), is defending himself against defamation claims from the $WLFI project. At the same time, he is also pursuing his own allegations against Hong Kong-based custodian First Digital Trust (FDT).

Vincent Chok, the CEO of First Digital Trust, has largely remained less vocal in the dispute with Sun for the last twelve months. However, Chok responded to the $WLFI lawsuit, which was filed on May 4, asking; “Is this a trend?”

Chok claims that for over a year, Justin Sun has made various allegations against FDT but has failed to produce supporting evidence in court. He noted that Sun has offered escalating bounties, rising from $50 million to $100 million, for anyone who can find “internal evidence” against FDT.

Twelve months later, no one has publicly come forward.

Chok implied through a post on X that Sun’s credibility was dented by his bounties failing to yield results, as that shows that there was no evidence to find.

The FDT dispute dates back to 2024 and concerns the reserves of the TrueUSD ($TUSD) stablecoin. Documents prepared for the U.S. Department of Justice by Techteryx, $TUSD’s issuer, claimed that approximately $456 million was diverted by FDT to a Dubai-based entity, Aria Commodities DMCC.

The SAR at $81.35 sits as the floor below the EMA zone, and the upper range boundary near $90 is the immediate resistance. The indicator on the chart labels Bull Target 1 at $136.15, the area where $SOL spent most of November and December 2025 before the sell-off. That is roughly 57% above current price and represents the first meaningful structural target if the range breakout holds.

In addition, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index currently reads 50, placing sentiment in neutral territory.
