Bitmine Immersion Technologies raised its Ethereum treasury to 4,422,659 million tokens in the week ending Feb. 22, giving the Las Vegas-based company control of 3.66% of all Ether in circulation despite the continued decline in ETH prices.Ethereum, the world’s second-most valuable cryptocurrency, dropped roughly 5.6% over the past week, trading recently around $1,861. The token hit a more than two-week low earlier today, falling to $1,845 before slightly rebounding.However, Ether remains over 62.4% down from its all-time high of $4,946 set in August 2025 and has plunged 37.1% in the past month alone in what Bitmine chairman Tom Lee describes as a “mini crypto winter.”“In the midst of this ‘mini crypto winter,’ our focus continues to be on methodically executing our treasury strategy and steadily acquiring ETH and, in turn, optimizing the yield on our ETH holdings,” said BitMine Chairman Tom Lee, in a statement. BitMine’s recent acquisition adds 51,162 ETH over the past week, or roughly $98 million at current prices, bringing the company roughly 27% short of its target to hold 5% of Ethereum’s total supply. Despite the accumulation, BitMine is currently deeply underwater on its Ether stack.BitMine’s Ethereum treasury is valued at approximately $8.5 billion based on current market prices. This strengthens Bitmine’s top spot among global Ethereum treasury firms, the company stated. Moreover, BitMine ranks as the second-largest publicly traded crypto treasury, trailing only Strategy, led by Bitcoin permabull Michael Saylor. The move signals an aggressive push to add robotaxis to its platform to compete with Tesla (TSLA). Despite the news, Uber stock is down over 4% on Monday, with Tesla stock also down nearly 4%.“Innovation in autonomy is moving quickly, but meaningful commercialization will take much longer,” Uber Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi said in a news release. “For more than a decade, Uber has helped set the standard for on-demand mobility and built the capabilities that make ‘push a button and get a ride’ work at global scale. With Uber Autonomous Solutions, we’re externalizing these hard-won competencies for our partners.”Uber’s overall robotaxi strategy is to partner with AV developers, promising its demand-forecasting app and its more than 200 million regular users can provide a quick payoff to the costs of building self-driving cars. The Uber Autonomous Solutions will offer a “comprehensive suite” of services to robotaxi makers, including AI training data, fleet management, user experience, regulatory support, and financing, Uber said in a statement. When Robert DeNault joined Kalshi’s four-person legal team in October, it was under the assumption that his background investigating white collar crimes could come in handy.

Now serving as the prediction market’s head of enforcement, the former associate at law firm White & Case told Decrypt that Kalshi is preparing to disclose a wave of disciplinary actions that have been taken against users—the result of a monthslong effort to clean up a “backlog” of potential trading violations.

“It’s taken a big chunk of my first few months here to get through these,” he said. “We're going to continue to post these, [...] but you’ll see it start in the coming weeks.”

The shift comes as betting patterns—such as a $400,000 payout linked to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro last month—fuel skepticism regarding market integrity. Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) is among lawmakers that have responded by introducing legislation to prevent Kalshi and its peers from allowing insiders to profit, urging for stricter guardrails against corruption.

For DeNault, answering this skepticism has required professionalizing Kalshi’s disciplinary framework to mirror giants like the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq. Since September, he’s been "beefing out" a role designed to distinguish legitimate information asymmetry from illegal activity, he said.

According to a Dune dashboard, Kalshi has generated roughly $42.7 billion in cumulative trading volume. At $6.8 billion this month, a large chunk of that activity has coincided with the Super Bowl, where Kalshi offered markets on topics including the halftime show’s first song.
