Crypto Market Sees $1.1 Billion Inflows As Institutional Interest Picks Up



Morgan Stanley’s freshly launched Bitcoin exchange-traded fund pulled in nearly $62 million within its first week of trading — a debut that landed in the middle of the strongest week for crypto investment products in three months.

Macro Shifts Fuel The Comeback

That broader rebound was driven by more than one firm’s market entry. Crypto funds globally attracted $1.1 billion in net inflows for the week ending April 11, according to asset manager CoinShares.

The turnaround came after five straight weeks of outflows that drained roughly $4 billion from the market and left investor sentiment battered heading into April.

CoinShares head of research James Butterfill pointed to two specific triggers: early ceasefire signals out of Iran and a softer-than-expected US inflation reading. Both helped ease nerves that had kept institutional money on the sidelines.

US investors led the charge. Based on CoinShares data, American buyers accounted for $1.06 billion — about 95% of total global flows for the week. US spot Bitcoin ETFs absorbed the largest share, pulling in $833 million, per data from Farside Investors.

Bitcoin And Ethereum Both Draw Fresh Money

Bitcoin funds worldwide attracted $871 million. Ethereum, which had recorded outflows for three consecutive weeks before this, saw $196.5 million flow back in. Weekly trading volumes climbed 13% to $21 billion, though that number still sits well below the year-to-date average of $31 billion, reports indicate.

$XRP price is at $1.3575 on April 14, down 1.32% on the session, as a symmetrical triangle converges toward its apex on the daily chart. A daily MACD bullish crossover has printed simultaneously, with the histogram turning positive for the first time in weeks, adding momentum confirmation to a pattern that has been compressing price since early March.

$XRP ($XRP) price is at $1.3575 on April 14, with 24-hour trading volume of $2.24 billion, as the daily chart shows a symmetrical triangle pattern compressing price action between two converging trendlines since early March. The upper descending trendline connects the February highs above $1.60, and the lower ascending trendline runs from the March lows around $1.20. The full MA ribbon sits above price: SMA 20 at $1.3398, SMA 50 at $1.3792, SMA 100 at $1.5625, and SMA 200 at $1.9222, forming overhead resistance at each level. Price is at the apex of the triangle, forcing an imminent directional resolution.

The symmetrical triangle on the daily chart reflects the market’s indecision since March, with sellers unable to push $XRP below the ascending lower trendline and buyers unable to break through the descending upper trendline. Each successive high has been lower and each successive low has been higher, compressing the range toward a convergence point that is now directly at price. Apex-level compression in symmetrical triangles typically precedes a strong directional move, and the volume context during the pattern matters: declining volume inside the triangle has been followed by an expansion of volume on the breakout in prior $XRP patterns.

Right now, onchain trading is an infra game. The fastest server wins, not the best strategy. MMs spend on colocation, private RPCs, and custom engineering just to be a few ms faster.

Priority fees let you pay HYPE for execution priority instead. The HYPE gets burned, not pocketed by some infra provider.

Two things worth noting:

Cancels always go before executions regardless of priority paid, so MMs can pull stale quotes during fast moves without getting picked off.

Everyone uses the same public API and the same rate limits. No private endpoints, no backdoors.
