Judge Rules Caitlyn Jenner’s JENNER Memecoin Is Not a Security in Class Action Blow
Judge Stanley Blumenfeld Jr. determined that the token does not meet the criteria of an investment contract, invalidating claims of unregistered securities.
The lead plaintiff, Lee Greenfield, reported losses exceeding $40,000 after investing in the Solana and Ethereum versions of the asset.

The ruling concludes that there was no “common enterprise” according to the Howey Test, exempting Jenner from federal securities fraud allegations.

On Friday, a district judge in California issued a landmark ruling by decreeing that Caitlyn Jenner’s JENNER cryptocurrency does not constitute a financial security. The decision follows a class-action lawsuit accusing the celebrity of promoting unregulated assets.
The court analyzed the case under the Howey Test, a legal tool that defines whether an asset is an investment contract. The judge concluded that there was no “common enterprise” or technical capital pooling mechanisms to justify the classification.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen confirmed that petrol sulphur limits will remain at 50 parts per million (ppm), five times higher than the usual 10 ppm standard. It’s not ideal from an environmental standpoint, but right now, ensuring fuel availability is taking priority.
At the same time, domestic challenges are adding to the strain. A recent fire at the Geelong Refinery — a key fuel production site — has reduced output. Diesel and jet fuel production are operating at about 80% capacity, while petrol sits at just 60%, limiting local supply when it’s needed most.
Despite these setbacks, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has reassured the public that fuel rationing is not on the table for now, aiming to prevent panic and maintain stability.
Behind the scenes, Australia is also working diplomatically to secure supply. A new agreement with Petronas — reached after visits to Singapore and Brunei — will help redirect surplus fuel to Australia, strengthening regional energy ties and easing immediate shortages.

Australia’s response highlights a tough reality: in times of global crisis, even developed nations must balance environmental standards with energy security. Relaxing fuel regulations isn’t a long-term solution — but in the face of supply shocks, it’s a necessary compromise.

An interesting analysis of Bitcoin’s price action over a multi-year time span pushes back against the growing optimism, pointing to a pattern that has held for more than a decade and suggesting that time, not just price, may still be working against a confirmed bottom.

Every Bitcoin Bear Market Has Taken Over A Year To Bottom

Going back to 2013, Bitcoin’s bear market cycles have followed a consistent sequence when it comes to the one metric that matters most, which is time. Each Bitcoin bear cycle differed slightly in severity, but the time requirement it took for it to end was surprisingly consistent.

According to a technical chart noted by a crypto analyst that goes by the name Xremin, the bear market in 2024 stretched to around 426 days before a bottom formed. The 2017 cycle followed with roughly 363 days, while the bear market after 2021’s rally took about 376 days to complete.

The current cycle, however, is only about 190 days into its correction phase. This is, of course, taking Bitcoin’s peak above $126,000 in October 2025 as the starting point of the bear market correction. That places it at just over half the duration seen in previous cycles.

Bitcoin is already down about 43% from that all-time high. However, calling a bottom at this stage, according to the analyst, would mean assuming that Bitcoin has suddenly broken a 13-year pattern without any clear structural change to justify it.
