India okays 3-month trial of Krafton’s PUBG-inspired BGMI, a year after second ban
05/19 20:10
Krafton has received approval from Indian authorities to resume operations of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), a popular battle royale mobile game that the firm launched after New Delhi banned PUBG in the South Asian market. BGMI was also later blocked by New Delhi. The approval is for a three-month trial period, during which Krafton will address concerns surrounding data security and location of its servers. The move comes as New Delhi contemplates reversing bans on apps it once deemed had links to China, including Shein and TikTok.
