Enterprise blockchain juggernaut Ripple has rolled out a massive software upgrade that fundamentally changes how large companies handle their corporate finances.

They have developed the first enterprise software that makes it possible for chief financial officers (CFOs) to manage traditional bank accounts and crypto on the exact same screen.

Solving corporate headaches

Currently, holding cryptocurrency or using stablecoins for payroll and global payments turns into an accounting nightmare for major companies.

Traditional cash sits in bank accounts managed by specialized "Treasury Management Systems" (TMS). In the meantime, digital assets sit in separate crypto wallets, exchanges, or third-party custody platforms.

Accountants must manually pull data from these completely disconnected systems in order to determine how much money the company actually has.

They also have to convert the fluctuating crypto prices and try to balance the books. It is a slow process that is prone to human error, and a major reason many companies avoid using it altogether

"Despite the debates surrounding stablecoin yields, the bill is moving forward. I think we're very close to an agreement."

Beyond T-bills: OpenEden introduces tokenized high-yield corporate bond

OpenEden has introduced HYBOND, the first tokenized product tied to BNY Investments' Global Short-Dated High-Yield Bond strategy, expanding the scope of institutional-grade investments available onchain.

The new token gives qualified investors 1:1 exposure to a managed portfolio of short-dated corporate bonds overseen by BNY Investments, a unit of BNY.

The product introduces higher-yield fixed income exposure to a market segment that has so far been dominated by tokenized cash-equivalent and treasury strategies. Data from rwa.xyz shows over $12 billion of the more than $27 billion in the tokenized real-world asset market are U.S. Treasury debt.

HYBOND is issued by OpenEden Digital Limited, a Bermuda-regulated entity licensed under the Digital Asset Business Act, according to a press release on Wednesday.

While BNY Investments serves as the investment manager for the underlying bond portfolio, it has no direct involvement in the token itself, which is managed and issued by OpenEden

Interactive Brokers Adds Bitcoin Trading in European Economic Area

Interactive Brokers has launched bitcoin trading for eligible retail investors across the European Economic Area.

Interactive Brokers has launched crypto trading for eligible retail investors across the European Economic Area, extending its digital asset offering through Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, an authorized crypto-asset service provider.

The rollout gives users access to 11 digital assets, including Bitcoin, alongside equities, options, futures, currencies, bonds, and mutual funds within a single account interface.

The offering is enabled through an integration with Zero Hash, which provides backend crypto and stablecoin infrastructure for institutional platforms. The partnership expands an existing relationship between the two firms and opens access to a market of roughly 450 million people across the ΕΕΑ.

Clients can trade these assets across Interactive Brokers' platform suite, including Trader Workstation, IBKR Desktop, Client Portal, IBKR Mobile, and IBKR GlobalTrader.

BlackRock Files Ticker for Bitcoin Premium Income ETF as Bitcoin Strategy Expands

BlackRock has moved forward with its Bitcoin premium income strategy, revealing a ticker for its upcoming iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said on X that the fund will trade under “$BITA” and noted that BlackRock has filed an amended S-1 registration statement for the product, describing it as a sequel to its existing Bitcoin ETF lineup.

He added that no management fee has been set, with his “over/under” estimate at 38 basis points. There is no official launch date yet.

The proposed ETF is designed to combine direct $BTC exposure with an income-generating options overlay.

According to prior SEC filings, the structure is intended to hold $BTC-linked assets, including shares of BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT, while also writing covered call options on those holdings. The strategy aims to generate “premium income” while still tracking Bitcoin’s price performance, net of expenses.

The fund is part of BlackRock’s broader effort to expand institutional $BTC products beyond passive exposure and into yield-focused strategies. It reflects growing demand from allocators who want $BTC exposure but also seek portfolio income similar to traditional equity option-writing funds.



If approved and launched, the ETF would add another layer to the rapidly expanding Bitcoin ETF market in the United States, where asset managers are increasingly competing on structure and yield features rather than simple spot exposure alone.
