Abstract

The Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus has confirmed that access to the websites of cryptocurrency exchanges OKX, Bitget, BingX, Bybit, Weex, and Gate has been restricted since December 9th. The decision was based on a notification from the Minsk City Executive Committee, which identified "inappropriate advertising" on these platforms. According to the ministry, more detailed information about the nature of the violations can only be provided to the owners of these internet resources. Access can only be restored after the violations that led to the blocking decision, as well as any other breaches of the law, are rectified. Users in Belarus began reporting the inaccessibility of some exchange websites through local internet providers on the evening of December 10th. However, as of December 11th, all the exchanges on the list remained accessible for viewing and login. Major exchanges such as Binance and KuCoin are not listed in the restricted access registry.
