In a statement, the exchange said it will gradually stop accepting new users, suspend fiat and crypto deposits, prevent new futures positions and spot orders, and phase out copy trading, grid trading, API trading and other automated services beginning July 26, 2026.

Trading across spot and futures markets will cease on Aug. 26, while investment products including Earn, staking, lending and Launchpad will be retired separately. The exchange expects to officially cease platform operations on Jan. 31, 2027, although users will temporarily retain access to their accounts for withdrawals and historical records afterward.

Users are advised to withdraw assets as early as possible by completing KYC verification, closing open positions and submitting withdrawal requests before the Aug. 26 deadline.

The firm said withdrawals will remain available but may be subject to identity verification, blockchain risk analysis, Travel Rule compliance, sanctions screening and source-of-funds checks, with processing times potentially extended during periods of heavy demand.

Bitcoin could lower mining difficulty by roughly 16% when its next adjustment arrives around July 26, handing the machines that remain online a considerably larger expected share of the network’s rewards while doing almost nothing to resolve the expensive power contracts, debt obligations and strategic pressures pushing some of the industry’s largest companies away from mining.

The network already lowered difficulty by 5% at block 957,600 on July 11, bringing it to 127.17 trillion. Hashrate Index reported that hashprice, the daily revenue miners expect from one petahash per second of computing power, stood at $30.88 per PH/s/day on July 13, with a seven-day average of $30.39.

That level was at or below breakeven for many operators depending on their power costs and machine models. While hashprice had recovered from the $27.60 level recorded around the beginning of July, it remains 37% below its October 2025 peak near $49.40.

Traders spent July blaming an options wall for Bitcoin's paralysis, and the wall has now come down twice with nothing to show for it.

02That weak response undercuts the idea that max pain was suppressing Bitcoin and points to thin spot demand.

03Attention now shifts to a July 31 call-heavy expiry and the Fed meeting, with Bitcoin still far from $70,000.

Traders spent most of July with a pretty good explanation for why Bitcoin wouldn't move. A dense cluster of options contracts had the price boxed in, they argued, because the dealers who sold those contracts were buying every dip and selling every rally to keep their own books balanced. Clear the contracts away, and Bitcoin would finally be free to go somewhere.

The contracts have now cleared on two consecutive Fridays, and Bitcoin is sitting roughly where it started. It traded just under $64,000 on Saturday, closing out a week in which it failed to hold $66,000 and then slid back through the level that positioning was supposed to defend. The pretty good explanation has run out of road, and what's left is pretty boring: demand for Bitcoin is thin right now, and it's thin on both sides of the market.
