XRP price is closing its strongest month of the year, yet the funds that buy it have gone quiet. ETF desks recorded no flows at all on 10 of July's 17 trading days.

XRP trades near $1.10 after a month locked inside a tight range. It now enters August, the one month on its record with no clear direction, and three signals say demand is thinning.

XRP's Best Month Hands Over to Its Flattest One

History sets the stage. XRP has closed July green every year since 2020. That is six completed years, with 2026 currently up 6.83% and tracking a seventh.

No month on XRP's record holds a longer winning run. July also carries a +6.91% median, the strongest of any month. Median matters more than average here, because it strips out the outlier years that distort XRP's history.

August breaks the rhythm. Its +0.43% average is the flattest reading on the table, while every other month leans clearly positive or negative. August has also closed red four years running, the longest losing run any month currently carries, and Bitcoin walks into a similar August setup.

Fund flows already match that apathy. XRP ETF flows registered exactly $0.00 on 10 of the 17 trading days in July, including two separate three-day blackouts.

The crypto market has remained volatile throughout 2026 as investors continue debating when Bitcoin (BTC) will establish a durable bottom.

While broader market sentiment remains uncertain, some altcoins have shown resilience. Among them, TRON (TRX) is now flashing technical and on-chain signals that raise questions about its bottom.

TRX Price Action Steadies After a 16% Slide

According to 10x Research, TRX fell around 16% from its May high before finding support in late June. It now sits above both the 7-day and 30-day moving averages.

The firm reads both reclaims as bullish momentum signals. The altcoin has gained 2.2% over the past week and recovered 6% from its lows. Still, TRX remains 11% below its May peak.

The token trades near $0.33, about 23% under its record high of $0.4313.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong intensified pressure for a Senate vote, portraying the CLARITY Act as a bipartisan breakthrough that could strengthen consumer protections, law enforcement authority, and American leadership in digital assets.Crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) CEO Brian Armstrong urged lawmakers in an X post on July 27 to advance the CLARITY Act, arguing that the bipartisan proposal would strengthen consumer protections, expand law enforcement tools, and deliver regulatory clarity for the cryptocurrency industry.

Calling for an immediate vote, the Coinbase executive maintained that lawmakers had spent thousands of hours developing the compromise and should complete the legislative process without further delays.

The X post also included a clip from Armstrong's July 21 CNBC interview, where he described the legislation as the product of years of bipartisan negotiations.

Armstrong remarked:

"The CLARITY Act is at the one-yard line, and it reflects the work from both sides of the aisle, spending thousands of hours along with their staff to get a true bipartisan compromise."

The Coinbase CEO used the football metaphor to argue that the legislation is extremely close to advancing and should receive a final Senate vote without further delay.
