Momentum around XRP may be entering a new phase as emerging on-chain data shows a growing activity within its broader ecosystem. What The Latest Flare Metrics Reveal About XRP Activity
A notable shift may be unfolding around XRP that many market participants have not yet fully recognized. An analyst known as XFinanceBull on X has revealed that recent data from the Flare network shows a supply of more than 132 million FXRP, with nearly 80% already locked into DeFi protocols on Flare Network.

The ecosystem has also secured over $149 million in value and processed more than 2.8 million transactions, while user growth continues to accelerate. These figures are derived from verifiable on-chain activity that any participant can verify, rather than being promotional estimates.

For years, one of the most common critiques of the altcoin was its lack of decentralized finance, and the bottleneck limited what holders could actually do with their assets beyond the transfers and storage. XFinanceBull argues that Flare is beginning to address that gap by enabling the token to interact with decentralized financial applications through the Flare system.

Through the Flare framework, holders can now deploy their assets across DeFi activities such as lending, liquidity provisioning, token swaps, and yield generation. Ethereum Foundation Has Announced That It Has Sold More Ethereum (ETH)
The Ethereum Foundation announced that it has completed a sale of 5,000 $ETH in the over-the-counter (OTC) market.

According to the foundation’s statement, the sale was conducted at an average price of $2,042.96 per $ETH.

The statement indicated that the OTC counterparty to the transaction was the crypto investment company Bitmine. Such OTC transactions are typically preferred to limit price volatility in the market and prevent large-scale selling from creating sudden price impacts on exchanges.

Bitmine is known for consistently accumulating $ETH, similar to Michael Saylor’s Strategy company, and the company has no plans to sell $ETH anytime soon. Therefore, this sale by the Ethereum Foundation will not create selling pressure in the market, at least for now.

The Ethereum Foundation stated that the proceeds from the sale will be used to fund the organization’s core operations and activities, including protocol research and development, ecosystem development programs, community grants, and other support programs. The Foundation also argued that this transaction is part of its regular financial management activities, conducted under its previously published treasury management policy.

Trump-Linked American Bitcoin Adds 11,298 ASICs, Boosts Hashrate

American Bitcoin (ABTC) is expanding its Bitcoin mining operations by purchasing 11,298 new ASIC equipment.

The acquisition is expected to increase the company's total capacity by 12%, supporting its strategy of accumulating $BTC through mining operations.

The 12% Capacity Expansion

ABTC said in a March 3 press release that the new miners will add 3.05 exahash per second (EH/s) to its owned capacity, with the machines scheduled for deployment in March 2026 at the Drumheller site in Alberta, Canada.

Each unit is expected to operate at an efficiency rate of approximately 13.5 joules per terahash (J/TH), compared with the company's current fleet average of 16 J/TH.

"As Bitcoin matures, the priority is clear: grow American-owned, professionally operated hashrate," said co-founder Eric Trump. "That's how we protect the network, drive innovation, and lead the future of Bitcoin in America."

Following this purchase, American Bitcoin's owned fleet will increase by 12% to 89,242 miners, representing about 28.1 EH/s of total owned capacity. The managed fleet contains all miners held by the company, including units that may not currently be operational.

Once the new equipment is online, the working fleet will comprise 58,999 miners delivering around 25.0 EH/s with an average efficiency of approximately 14.1 J/TH. For comparison, the largest publicly listed $BTC miners currently operate at roughly 50 EH/s.
