$LAB has extended its rally to a sixth consecutive day, climbing about 57% over the past week as whale buying, technical momentum, and renewed interest in the project's ecosystem pushed the token back toward the $14 level.

Data from CoinGecko showed $LAB trading near $13.91 on June 17, up nearly 40% over the past 24 hours and more than 57% over the previous seven days.

The move comes after the token spent much of early June under pressure following a steep correction from its June 2 all-time high of $27.30.

According to market commentator Alastar, whale wallets added roughly $540,000 in long positions within an hour as $LAB continued its advance.

Data shared by the trader showed 129 whale long positions against 85 short positions, with total long exposure reaching $27.58 million compared with $10.58 million in short exposure.

The same data showed a whale long-to-short ratio of 260.67%, while net whale buying volume during the previous hour stood near $490,000 against approximately $179,000 in net selling.

Alastar described the $13 region as a key level to monitor, noting that larger holders could begin reducing positions around that area because many long positions were already sitting on substantial unrealised profits.

Recent buying activity arrived after $LAB successfully defended support between $9 and $10, a zone that attracted dip buyers after weeks of selling pressure.

Market participants also closed bearish positions as momentum indicators improved, helping fuel a rapid recovery from the June lows.

Speculative interest around the project has also remained active.

$LAB operates as a multi-chain AI trading terminal connecting Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain, while community discussions have focused on the rollout of its mobile application and ongoing work tied to prediction market features.

The rebound marks a significant turnaround from lows touched just over a week ago, when Bitcoin plunged to around $59,000 on June 5 and 6, marking its lowest level since October 2024.Bitcoin rebounded more than 11% from its June 5 low near $59,000 to around $66,500 as easing Middle East tensions and continued institutional buying provided support, according to Bitcoin Magazine. The price recovery reflects a shift in market psychology after weeks of heavy selling pressure that had pushed the cryptocurrency down roughly 50% from its peak.The stabilization is evident in market sentiment indicators. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, which measures investor psychology on a scale from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed), recovered from an all-time low of 5 on June 6 to around 18-20 by mid-June, according to MEXC and Cointribune. The index had plunged to 12 on June 6 before beginning its gradual climb, signaling a transition away from the deepest panic levels

It claims to have processed more than $10 billion in transaction volume and plans to use the fresh capital to expand across LatAm, the US and Asia-Pacific markets.
The funding comes as stablecoin settlement increasingly moves into regulated financial infrastructure, with companies racing to connect blockchain-based payments to local banking systems and foreign exchange networks.

In 2022, Trace Finance raised $4.3 million in a seed round led by HOF Capital, with participation from Circle Ventures and Mantis VC, the venture capital firm co-founded by electronic music duo The Chainsmokers. HOF Capital also participated in the company's Series A round.

Bitcoin holds below $65,000 as Warsh faces first FOMC test and Strategy concerns linger

Bitcoin trades below $65,000 as the Fed is widely expected to hold rates steady at 3.50%-3.75% in Kevin Warsh’s first meeting as chair, with inflation reportedly sitting near a three-year high.

Strategy’s STRC preferred shares closed at a fresh low of $91.79 on June 16, more than 8% below par, a signal Bitfinex says shows the corporate treasury bid behind bitcoin’s rally is weakening.

 traded below $65,000 on Wednesday as the Federal Reserve is widely expected to hold interest rates steady at 3.50% to 3.75% in Kevin Warsh's first meeting as Fed chair, with markets seeing little chance of a signal that cuts are imminent.

The foremost cryptocurrency was priced around $64,550, down nearly 2% on the day per The Block’s BTC price page, as investors stayed on the sidelines awaiting clarity on the U.S.-Iran agreement and the Fed's updated economic projections, due alongside the rate decision on Wednesday afternoon.

"The key takeaway from the Fed meeting is that the market is set to get stability, not a pivot," said Lacie Zhang, a research analyst at Bitget Wallet. She said the Fed has not yet validated a broader liquidity rally, even as the Iran ceasefire and lower oil prices removed one source of inflation pressure.

Zhang said energy normalization may matter more than Fed policy in the near term, with WTI crude easing into the $80 to $85 range.

She placed bitcoin's near-term range at $64,000 to $68,000 if oil stays contained and Fed messaging remains neutral, with a hawkish surprise from Warsh capable of sending bitcoin back to $62,000 to $63,000.
