Ethereum ETFs lose $70.7M as BlackRock leads withdrawals – What’s next for ETH?

Ethereum ETF outflows raised fresh concerns over institutional demand after U.S. spot ETFs recorded a $70.7 million net outflow on July 24.

BlackRock accounted for the largest share of that activity after investors withdrew $52.8 million from its $ETH fund.

The figures interrupted a period of sustained inflows and shifted attention toward whether large investors had started locking in profits.

However, one trading session rarely defines a broader trend, especially after weeks of consistent institutional accumulation.

Instead, the latest withdrawal suggested that some investors had adopted a more cautious stance near key price resistance.

As a result, Ethereum faced greater scrutiny because sustained ETF outflows could reduce institutional demand and weaken bullish sentiment if similar withdrawals continued over the coming sessions.

North Korea-linked hacking group BlueNoroff is using fake Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings to profile cryptocurrency users before delivering malware.

Cybersecurity firm JUMPSEC said it recovered and analysed source code from an active phishing kit after its operators exposed JavaScript source maps on live infrastructure. The files showed separate Zoom and Teams lures, wallet-scanning tools, operator controls and malware delivery paths for Windows and macOS.The attack often begins through a Telegram account that the target already trusts. The hackers take over accounts belonging to crypto contacts, then send a Calendly invitation that leads to a lookalike meeting domain. JUMPSEC described the system as a repeatable victim pipeline because one stolen Telegram session can help the attackers contact the next group of targets.

Bitcoin slipped back under $64,000 after tapping $66,990. Oil, ETF outflows and Fed nerves are dragging the whole crypto market lower.

Crypto prices are red across the board today. Bitcoin is trading around $63,877, down 1.65% on the day, after failing to break through the $67,000 area earlier this week. $Ethereum, $XRP, $Solana and most other majors followed $Bitcoin lower, and the market has now given back almost the entire gain it built over the past seven days.

Where do crypto prices stand today?

Only three assets in the top 15 are green on the day: Monero, UNUS SED LEO and - barely - nothing else. Zcash is the worst performer of the group, down almost 6% in 24 hours and more than 11% on the week after a heavy run-up.

The Shiba Inu community eagerly watches as Shiba Inu lead ambassador Shytoshi Kusama is set to mark 74 days of silence on X.

Since May 13, Kusama has neither posted on X nor engaged with any post. This would not be the first time Kusama has stepped away from posting on X to maintain a low profile on social media. A similar trend was seen in late 2025 and also part of 2026.

The Shiba Inu lead ambassador attributed his silence on X to building something; in January, he revealed an independent AI project he had been working on since then.

Kusama has frequently used X as his primary communication channel with the community; oftentimes he updated his bio and location to communicate subtle hints and sometimes conveyed his thoughts through live broadcasts, as he has in recent times.
