XRP Price Trades Flat as Memecoins Rally—Can It Reclaim $1.25?

The XRP price traded largely flat around the $1.10 level as capital flew into memecoins, outperforming the broader crypto market. Despite the muted price action, XRP has quietly built a higher-low structure over the past month. The rising Open Interest and positive funding rates indicate traders continue to position for a potential breakout.

The token now trades just below a key resistance zone near $1.16, making the coming sessions critical. A decisive move above this level could pave the way for a retest of $1.25. Another rejection may keep XRP confined within its current consolidation range.

XRP Price Holds Along an Ascending Support

The XRP price has formed an ascending triangle, which signals an impending breakout as price volatility continues to compress. While the pattern is constructive, bulls still need to prove themselves by pushing XRP above the overhead resistance before the setup can be confirmed.

Open Interest has climbed to around 202 million contracts, suggesting fresh positions are entering the market rather than traders exiting. Meanwhile, funding remains slightly positive at 0.0084%, indicating bullish positioning without the excessive leverage that often precedes sharp liquidations.

For now, the chart shows a market that’s patiently building rather than rushing higher. The longer XRP holds its higher-low structure while staying below resistance, the more attention shifts to whether buyers have enough momentum to force a breakout toward $1.25 or if sellers will once again defend the $1.16 area.

BTC holds above key support amid ETF inflows, US-Iran bombing pause

Bitcoin holds above the 200-Week SMA around $63,500 after posting four consecutive weeks of gains.

US-listed spot ETFs recorded mild inflows last week, marking the third consecutive week of gains after heavy withdrawals.

The US-Iran pause their strikes, which adds to hopes for diplomatic negotiations and improves risk appetite.

Bitcoin (BTC) holds above the key 200-week Simple Moving Average (SMA) around $63,500, having posted four consecutive weeks of gains. Institutional demand shows mild signs of improvement with spot Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) posting inflows for a third consecutive week. The halt in US-Iran strikes has renewed hopes for diplomatic negotiations, improving modest risk appetite and supporting the Crypto King’s recovery.

US paused its two-week bombing campaign against Iran late on Friday, prompting Tehran to suspend its retaliatory attacks against Washington’s allies in the Middle East for a second night.

On Sunday, Iran said it will halt its own ​attacks as long as the US does the same, a senior Iranian official reported to Reuters.

On the same day, US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz said that while forces remained locked and loaded, President Donald Trump wanted to give negotiations another chance.

“He’s ​giving talks some space; he’s giving it a little bit of room,” Waltz said, without providing further details.

These easing geopolitical conditions and renewed hopes for diplomatic negotiations have improved risk appetite, providing a mild tailwind for risky assets such as BTC.

Bitcoin could lower mining difficulty by roughly 16% when its next adjustment arrives around July 26, handing the machines that remain online a considerably larger expected share of the network's rewards while doing almost nothing to resolve the expensive power contracts, debt obligations and strategic pressures pushing some of the industry's largest companies away from mining.

The network already lowered difficulty by 5% at block 957,600 on July 11, bringing it to 127.17 trillion. Hashrate Index reported that hashprice, the daily revenue miners expect from one petahash per second of computing power, stood at $30.88 per PH/ s/day on July 13, with a seven-day average of $30.39.

That level was at or below breakeven for many operators depending on their power costs and machine models. While hashprice had recovered from the $27.60 level recorded around the beginning of July, it remains 37% below its October 2025 peak near $49.40.

Bitcoin's protocol can automatically lower the computational burden required to produce blocks, but it can't renegotiate a miner's electricity contract, refinance convertible notes, restore the value of aging machines, or make volatile mining revenue more attractive than a multibillion-dollar Al lease.

Ondo Finance [ONDO] is on the verge of clearing all July losses. The altcoin rebounded from a $0.37 slip, successfully held $0.4, and touched a local high of $0.41.
