Micron Technology, which fell so far on Friday, was up just over 5% on Monday in early trading. The tech-heavy Nasdaq rose more than 1% while the S&P 500 added 0.6% and the Dow Jones gained 0.2%.

Stocks may feel pressure from the Middle East again soon as Israel and Iran are sending missiles to one another. The fragile ceasefire that Israel has been trying to hold together with Lebanon may not hold for much longer either, and Iran and is looking to jointly control the Strait of Hormuz with Oman. Investors should expect these tumultuous developments to impact energy stock in particular but also have a smaller impact on the wider stock market.

Nasdaq Turns around on Tech Stocks

Technology futures has a rough day Friday, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 4.2% that day as Micron Technology, Broadcom (AVGO), Nvidia (NVDA) and others experienced significant declines. This was likely a market correction at the end of a lengthy rally, and Monday’s climb back is further indication that the market is attempting to stabilize.

The Nasdaq did not make back all of its lost ground Monday at the time of writing, but it was well on its way. The S&P 500 and Dow fell less dramatically Friday since they have less tech stock focus and those were the stocks that dropped the hardest.

Monday’s movement is most bullish, with the majority of major tech stocks showing gains. Nvidia ticked up 0.70% as the market opened, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) jumped 2.58%. There is renewed interest in these stocks after Friday’s decline, and the recent jobs report was overwhelmingly positive, likely easing selling pressure as investors feel optimistic about the economy.

The Bitcoin price today is fluctuating around $63,228, a few thousand dollars above the recent low that broke through $60,000 for the first time since November 2024. There has been a rebound, technically evident. However, those with experience know that the most dangerous rebounds are born precisely within the strongest bearish trends, and the current one, on the daily, is anything but exhausted.

The macro context does not help: Michael Saylor, who for years has been the symbol of institutional hodl-mentality, has sold $BTC for the first time in four years. This is not a negligible detail. Markets read symbols, and this has been interpreted as a signal of partial capitulation by an actor who seemed unshakable.

Stellar Makes History with $242M in TVL

Stellar (@StellarOrg) set a new record for its DeFi ecosystem, with total value locked (TVL) reaching roughly $242 million on May 30, 2026, the highest level the network has ever posted. That is a notable marker for a chain better known for moving money than for parking it in smart contracts.

The milestone caps a steady climb through 2025 and 2026. Stellar's TVL surpassed prior ceilings in the $196 million to $206 million range before the late-May breakout. Most of that growth traces back to real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and a maturing lending market built on Soroban, Stellar's smart contract platform.

Has Stellar Held Onto the Gains?

As of the latest DefiLlama data, Stellar's chain TVL sits at $200.36 million, down about 3.59% over 24 hours. That puts it below the May 30 peak but holding near the top of the range it traded in before the breakout.

A pullback after an all-time high is normal. The May run pushed Stellar to a new high, and the pullback has settled it back around its prior ceiling rather than below it. That is the level to watch from here.

Bridged TVL: $1.467 billion

Stellar's own dashboard puts TVL at $208 million and counting, slightly above DefiLlama’s read. Either way, the chain is sitting comfortably above $200 million. That infrastructure edge shows in the fundamentals: average transaction cost of just $0.0006667 over the last 30 days and finality in 5.3 seconds, all while supporting cash-to-crypto ramps in 180+ countries.
