What the Partnership Entails
Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program is an industry collaboration platform that connects select blockchain and digital asset firms with the company’s payment infrastructure. For Sei, this means access to Mastercard’s network of financial institutions, technology partners, and regulatory expertise. The goal is to explore how Sei’s high-speed, low-cost blockchain can support payment flows, cross-border remittances, and settlement systems that meet traditional financial standards.

Strive reported a larger bitcoin treasury after its Semler Scientific merger, reaching 15,009 bitcoin with no outstanding debt. The filing showed $929.4 million in digital assets, new medical-device revenue, and a major unrealized loss tied to fair-value accounting.Strive Inc. (Nasdaq: ASST) filed its quarterly report with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 14, reporting 15,009 bitcoin as of May 12 after additional bitcoin purchases and debt repayment activity. The company listed $929.4 million in digital assets at March 31, before later disclosing updated cash holdings and a $50.5 million position in Strategy Inc.’s Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock (STRC).

Semler Scientific’s merger added 5,048 bitcoin and medical-device operations to Strive. From April 1 to May 12, Strive bought 1,381 bitcoin at an average price of about $76,524. The company had assumed $100 million of Semler Scientific’s 4.25% convertible senior notes due 2030 during the merger, later exchanging $90 million into SATA preferred stock before repurchasing the remaining $10 million balance after quarter-end.

As of May 12, 2026, the Company has no short or long-term debt outstanding,” Strive stated, adding:

“As of May 12, 2026, our cash and cash equivalents totaled $87.6 million, while our position in the STRC Stock had a fair value of $50.5 million. Our bitcoin treasury totaled 15,009 bitcoin as of May 12, 2026.”

Quarterly revenue reached $2.76 million, up from $1.42 million a year earlier. Medical-device revenue contributed $1.37 million after the Semler transaction. Net loss totaled $265.9 million, largely tied to a $295.8 million unrealized loss on digital assets measured at fair value.

President Donald Trump intends to put US arms sales to Taiwan on the table during an upcoming summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. That single agenda item has sent a chill through Taiwan’s diplomatic supporters and defense hawks in Washington alike.

The reason is straightforward: the US has historically treated its arms sales to Taiwan as a bilateral matter between Washington and Taipei. Bringing Beijing into that conversation, even informally, would represent a meaningful departure from a policy framework that has held since 1982.

Congress recently greenlit a $14 billion arms sale to Taiwan. But that package isn’t moving anywhere yet. It requires a formal notification from Trump to Congress before it can advance, and that notification hasn’t come.

Trump’s own words frame the dynamic clearly. He acknowledged that “President Xi would like us not to,” referring to China’s well-documented opposition to any US military support for Taiwan.

US presidents have sold weapons to Taiwan for decades under the Taiwan Relations Act. The 1982 Six Assurances, delivered by the Reagan administration, explicitly stated that the US would not consult with Beijing before making arms sale decisions regarding Taiwan. That commitment has been a pillar of the US-Taiwan relationship for over four decades.

Xi Jinping has warned that tensions surrounding Taiwan could push the US-China relationship into an “extremely dangerous place.”

For Xi, getting a seat at the table on arms sale discussions would be a significant diplomatic win, even if no formal concessions result. The symbolism alone, Washington consulting Beijing on whether and how to arm Taiwan, would reshape perceptions across the Indo-Pacific region about American commitment to Taiwan’s defense.

The Vivek Ramaswamy-founded company said the Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, ticker SATA, will start paying dividends every business day beginning June 16 at a current annual dividend rate of 13%. The payouts are funded by income generated from the company’s Bitcoin treasury strategy.
Strive CEO Matt Cole said the move will make it the first public company to offer daily dividends, expanding on a similar playbook adopted by Michael Saylor’s Strategy, which has relied on perpetual preferred stock offerings such as Stretch (STRC) to fund its Bitcoin purchases while paying investors every two weeks.

“The rate at which innovation is happening in the digital credit space is fascinating to behold,” said Bitcoin For Corporations contributor Adam Livingston. Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor called the daily dividends “impressive.”
Strive’s daily dividends mark another example of a Bitcoin treasury firm moving beyond a simple buy-and-hold strategy to remain competitive in the bear market.This comes as Strive reported an unrealized net loss of $265.9 million for Q1. The company attributed the loss to a decrease in the fair market value of its Bitcoin holdings as Bitcoin fell 23% during the quarter.

Cardano whales now hold 67% of ADA supply in highest share since 2020

Large holders of Cardano's $ADA token have been quietly stacking for two years while the rest of the chain has gone quiet.

Wallets holding at least one million $ADA now control 25.09 billion tokens, an all-time high, representing 67.47% of the existing supply, per Santiment. That is the highest concentration in whale hands since July 2020, with the accumulation trend running uninterrupted since December 2023.

The token has shed 71% of its market cap over the past nine months, indicating that the largest holders have been buying into the price weakness.

Cardano's DeFi footprint has gone the opposite direction. Total value locked sits at $137 million, down from a December 2024 peak of around $686 million, an 80% drop, per DefiLlama.

Daily DEX volume across the entire chain is $1.95 million. Chain fees over the past 24 hours came in at $1,767. Chain revenue was $353, and active addresses on a 24-hour basis are 15,975.

These numbers suggest a chain where the main token is being accumulated for long-term investment rather than to capitalize on any on-chain opportunities.

$ADA traded at $0.27 in Asian hours Friday, with a market cap of $9.96 billion. The token has been one of the worst performers among the top 10 since the broader market topped in late 2024, and the whale accumulation has been happening through that drawdown rather than after it.
