Cardano Founder Says ADA Price Could Become a “Rocket Ship” By 2027
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson believes ADA could see explosive growth over the next two years as the ecosystem expands beyond its core blockchain into privacy, AI, and decentralized finance applications.

Speaking during an appearance on The Breakdown podcast, Hoskinson said the technologies currently under development could dramatically increase demand for the Cardano ecosystem by 2027, describing the long-term outlook as a “rocket ship.”

“The rocket ship,” Hoskinson said, referring to the direction he expects the broader Cardano and Midnight ecosystem to take over the coming years.

Meanwhile, Hoskinson centered much of his optimism on Midnight, Cardano’s privacy-focused sidechain, which is being positioned as a platform for decentralized AI, private DeFi, and autonomous software agents.

Notably, he said Midnight City, an AI-powered virtual environment under development, is progressing rapidly with new features scheduled every two weeks. According to Hoskinson, the project is designed to attract both crypto-native users and mainstream audiences while showcasing privacy-preserving blockchain technology.
“We’re building this rocket ship,” Hoskinson said. “Everything about Midnight City is moving in the right direction.”

Additionally, he added that upcoming milestones will introduce thousands of users to the platform before the platform expands into AI-driven trading, affiliate partnerships, and enterprise integrations.

Hoskinson argued that artificial intelligence combined with zero-knowledge privacy technology could become one of blockchain’s largest growth opportunities.

Augur has returned with a proposed resolution system and a two-month token migration test as prediction markets draw increased institutional scrutiny.

According to a press release shared with crypto.news, the Lituus Foundation announced the relaunch alongside the Augur Lituus whitepaper, which outlines a settlement layer for prediction markets facing disputed outcomes. Under the proposed system, markets could resolve contested events without depending on a company, committee, multisignature wallet, or governance council.

Rather than opening another trading platform, the foundation plans to offer the resolution layer as infrastructure that other prediction markets and protocols could use. Its design separates the process of determining an outcome from services such as trading, liquidity management, user interfaces, and customer distribution.

The whitepaper also compares several decentralized oracle systems, focusing on how each one may perform when participants have a financial reason to influence a result. According to the foundation, Augur Lituus uses economic incentives intended to make support for an accurate outcome more rational than backing a false one.

“Prediction markets are only as credible as their resolution process,” Lituus Foundation co-founder Phill said.

“As markets become larger and more influential, the question isn’t whether they can predict the future. It’s whether they can determine what actually happened when billions of dollars depend on the answer.”

Alongside the whitepaper, Augur has started what it calls the Moon Fork, a public test of its dispute and algorithmic fork process. The exercise stems from a prediction market connected to NASA’s Artemis II mission, according to the foundation.

ESMA’s updated register identifies Ripple Payments Europe SA as an authorized crypto asset service provider, allowing the company’s European payments unit to offer regulated crypto services across 29 EU countries.

The authorization follows Ripple’s earlier approval in Luxembourg under the Markets in Crypto-Assets framework. According to Ripple, the Luxembourg license permits its European subsidiary to serve financial institutions and businesses throughout the European Economic Area.Combined with its existing electronic money institution license in Luxembourg, the CASP approval gives Ripple permission to provide crypto asset and stablecoin payment services. Ripple has stated that banks, fintech companies, and corporate clients can use one integration to collect funds, exchange assets, and make payments.Ripple gains access as banks enter the MiCA market
Alongside Ripple, ESMA added Portugal-based Bison Bank, Croatia’s state-owned Hrvatska poštanska banka, and Liechtenstein-based Kaiser Partner Privatbank to the register. Their inclusion shows that regulated banks are also seeking permission to provide digital asset services under MiCA.

Payment processor BitPay has separately secured MiCA authorization from the Dutch financial regulator, according to the original report. The license allows BitPay to provide crypto and stablecoin payment services across eligible EU markets through MiCA’s passporting system.
