T. Rowe Price Debuts New ETF With Bitcoin and Crypto Exposure

Asset manager T. Rowe Price on Thursday debuted its first crypto exchange-traded fund, giving investors exposure to Bitcoin and other digital coins. 

T. Rowe Price, which with $1.89 trillion in assets is one of the largest U.S. asset managers, said that its Active Crypto ETF is the first actively managed multi-token spot ETF on the market. 

The ETF, which trades on the NYSE Arca under the ticker TKNZ, mainly gives investors exposure to Bitcoin and Ethereum, weighed 40.75% and 18.42%, respectively, but includes other assets like Solana, XRP, Hyperliquid, Dogecoin, and BNB. 

T. Rowe Price applied to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the product last October. 

“Through the launch of the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF, investors can gain access to a thoughtfully curated, professionally managed multi-coin portfolio that helps eliminate the guesswork of building a crypto allocation on their own,” Blue Macellari, who works as head of digital assets at the firm, said in an announcement.  

The announcement added that the product was the “first of the firm’s lineup” for the digital asset space, hinting that more ETFs could soon follow. 

Writing on X Thursday, Bloomberg Intelligence’s senior research analyst, James Seyffart, said: “Launching during a bear market and I know for a fact this product was years in the making. Legacy asset managers continue to build in the crypto space despite the pullback in prices.”

Explosion in crypto and Bitcoin ETFs 
In January 2024, the SEC approved Bitcoin ETFs by BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale and other asset managers after years of denying applications. 

The funds had the most successful debut in the ETF industry’s history, and now manage billions in dollars in assets. 

Ethereum funds followed the same year and a number of altcoin products are now on the market for U.S.

TRUMP holds $1.50 – Breakout setup or another Q3 bull trap?

With bullish catalysts fading, is TRUMP’s bearish Q3 trend only just beginning? 

Zooming in, the setup looks less straightforward. The Official Trump memecoin has been holding a tight consolidation range around the $1.5 level, with nearly  two weeks of steady upside, hinting that a potential accumulation zone could be forming as bulls continue to buy the dip.

TRUMP’s rising Open Interest (OI) is adding another bullish angle. As the chart below shows, Open Interest has climbed back toward early July levels, approaching the $100 million mark.

Interestingly, nearly $10 million in OI has been added this week alone, matching the token’s tight range consolidation.

Technically, rising OI when the price is compressed often signals that traders are positioning for a big move.

Zooming out, though, the broader setup starts to look weaker. TRUMP is currently down over 5.3% in Q3, which may seem minor at first glance.

But compared with Bitcoin’s nearly 10% during the same period and TRUMP’s streak of six straight quarterly losses, the risk of another Q3 breakdown cannot be ignored.

This is especially notable as one of Official Trump’s [TRUMP] major bullish catalysts begins to lose momentum. So, with sentiment shifting, is the current 5% decline just the start of a larger Q3 breakdown?

Tom Lee's Bitmine slowed ether purchases as it bought back $86 million in stock.
Bitmine (BMNR), the largest Ethereum treasury firm, bought just 7,430 ether ($ETH) last week, dialing back its buying spree as it redirected capital to a stock buyback.

The latest purchase, worth about $14 million at ether's current price of $1,879, lifted BitMine's holdings to 5,78 million $ETH, or roughly 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply, according to a Monday company update.

BMNR was 2.4% higher in pre-market trading.

The purchase marks one of firm’s smallest weekly additions since launching its Ethereum treasury strategy in June 2025. By comparison, the firm bought more than 111,000 $ETH during one week in May and had regularly acquired tens of thousands of tokens throughout the first half of the year. The firm is nearing its goal to corner 5% of $ETH supply.

Chairman Thomas "Tom" Lee attributed the slowdown to the company's decision to repurchase approximately 5.5 million shares at an average price of $15.62 under its previously authorized $4 billion buyback program.

"The reduced pace of buys reflects that Bitmine repurchased 5.5 million common shares," Lee said. He added that the company has purchased $ETH every week since adopting its treasury strategy just over a year ago.

Bitmine's total holdings stood at $11.5 billion as of Sunday. Besides its $ETH treasury, the company held 207 bitcoin, $385 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $58 million investment in Eightco Holdings.

The company continues to generate income from staking its $ETH. Bitmine said it has staked 4.92 million $ETH, about 85% of its holdings, with a projected annualized revenue of about $247 million through its MAVAN staking platform.

Ripple (XRP) faces sustained selling pressure as bears maintain control on Monday. The remittance token has struggled to break above the $1.10 resistance since last Thursday, as risk sentiment weighs.

XRP sees mild capital inflows
Demand for XRP derivatives has gradually increased since last week, with the perpetual futures Open Interest (OI) averaging 2.4 billion XRP on Monday, up from 2.13 billion XRP the previous day. A broader scope shows OI averaged 2.09 billion XRP on July 7, underscoring steady growth in risk-on sentiment.

Meanwhile, demand for XRP spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) returned on Thursday, attracting nearly $7 million in inflows last week, according to SoSoValue data. This mild but positive turnaround comes after outflows of approximately $7 million on the week ending July 10.
Still, cumulative inflows edged higher to $1.49 billion, with net assets averaging $991 million. Sustained appetite for US-listed ETFs is needed to absorb the selling pressure in the spot market and support a steady rebound.
