XRP Elliott Wave Pattern Has Now Entered Its Fifth Iteration: Here Are Short-Term Targets
$XRP has entered the fifth and final stage of a multi-wave Elliott Wave pattern that started in late June, currently pointing to several short-term price targets.

Specifically, the pattern places the first target at $1.23062, while a stronger rally could push the price as high as $1.40.

At the time of writing, $XRP is trading at $1.09810, up 0.05% on the day. Meanwhile, the 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 47.98, showing neutral momentum and suggesting the market still has room to move either higher or lower.

This Elliott Wave structure has formed on the 4-hour timeframe since $XRP reached a low of $1.012 on June 26. Since then, the market has completed the first four waves of the pattern and has now moved into the middle of the fifth and final wave.

While discussions on this topic continue, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse made important statements regarding the matter.

Speaking at a recent event, the Ripple CEO said the problem with current payment applications isn’t complexity; they’re simply not designed to communicate with each other.

Garlinghouse argues that the biggest challenge in the entire payment system arises when people try to send money internationally. He points out that international money transfers are slow, expensive, and prone to errors, sometimes causing money to get stuck in transit for weeks and requiring people to track it.

Garlinghouse points out that Ripple’s aim is actually to solve this problem.

At this point, Ripple CEO highlighted $XRP’s role in payments, stating that an $XRP transaction takes approximately four seconds to complete anywhere in the world.

Taiwan court sentences BitShine founder to 22 years in $39M crypto fraud
Taiwan has sentenced the alleged mastermind behind the BitShine crypto exchange to 22 years in prison after finding he led a fraud and money laundering operation that prosecutors said caused more than NT$1.27 billion ($39 million) in losses to over 1,500 victims.

Taiwan’s semi-official Central News Agency (CNA) reported that the Shilin District Court convicted the defendant, identified by the surname Shih, of illegally operating virtual asset services while orchestrating fraud and money laundering through the BitShine platform.

Court findings said Shih led a criminal organization that used BitShine, a crypto exchange previously registered with Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), to disguise illegal activities behind what appeared to be a legitimate business.

Prosecutors said the group worked with fraud syndicates and members linked to the Thento Union, one of Taiwan’s largest organized crime groups. Victims’ cash was allegedly converted into Tether’s USDT before being transferred overseas.

Investigators estimated the operation laundered more than NT$2.3 billion ($71 million) between January 2024 and April 2025. Prosecutors identified 1,539 victims who together lost more than NT$1.27 billion ($39 million), according to CNA.

Local newspaper UDN reported that Shih recruited compliance personnel who were unaware of the alleged scheme to develop know-your-customer (KYC) procedures for the exchange. Prosecutors said intermediaries later coached fraud ring members on how to answer KYC verification questions so victims could successfully complete onboarding and purchase cryptocurrency through the platform.

Authorities indicted 14 suspects, including Shih, in August 2025.

According to market data, BRAIN's total market capitalization later declined slightly, stabilizing at approximately $20.14 million. Despite this, the token achieved one of the most remarkable performances of the day, gaining over 3,800% in value in the last 24 hours.

The main reason for the rise is said to be Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong changing his profile picture on social media to an image resembling the Brain token's symbol.

Despite the lack of an official statement of support, investors viewed this change as a positive signal. In the cryptocurrency market, particularly for memecoin projects, social media interactions and posts by well-known figures can have a significant impact on price movements.

Brain is among the projects using the new B20 token standard introduced with the latest update to the Base network. This technical infrastructure aims to facilitate the development of next-generation token projects within the Base ecosystem.

According to on-chain data, there are approximately 8,850 wallet addresses holding the BRAIN token. Furthermore, it's noted that 12.68% of the supply is held in the top 10 wallets. This distribution indicates a relatively concentrated ownership structure for the token

Meanwhile, the Bollinger Bands expanded after an earlier compression. This indicated that price volatility had increased following the breakout.

Even so, $KAITO encountered resistance between $0.80 and $0.85. Price momentum slowed around this zone, placing the rally’s next test firmly in view.

Will the token unlock stall $KAITO?
The potential reason behind this lag could be the anticipated selling pressure from the upcoming token unlocks.

As per Tokenomist, about 17.60 million $KAITO tokens worth $14.93 million would be unlocked in three days’ time. Usually, such activities tend to create selling pressure as they increase the circulating supply in the market.

Still, with capital to absorb this supply, the price action may continue surging, especially if bulls continue buying.

Therefore, the market structure remains bullish in the short term, but that could change if supply dynamics outweigh capital inflows.
