Sustained inflows into spot Solana Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) indicate that institutional demand remains firm.

The technical picture is also showing early signs of recovery, although $SOL must decisively break above the key $78 resistance area to confirm further gains.

Institutional demand for Solana remains resilient despite the token’s recent price weakness.

According to CoinGlass, spot $SOL ETFs recorded $10.26 million in net inflows last week. This was their strongest weekly performance since May 22 and marked the seventh consecutive week of positive flows.

The uninterrupted inflow streak suggests that investors continue to build exposure to Solana through regulated investment products.

If demand strengthens further during the current week, ETF buying could support $SOL’s attempt to break through nearby technical resistance.

CryptoQuant’s summary data also reflects cautiously optimistic market conditions. Solana’s spot markets show large orders from whales, indicating activity among deep-pocketed investors.

Conditions in the futures market appear to be cooling, potentially reducing the risk associated with excessive leverage.

Other indicators remain neutral, leaving $SOL with a mild bullish tilt rather than a firmly established upward trend.

This balance suggests that the token has room to recover, but buyers still need to produce a convincing breakout before the broader outlook turns decisively positive.

AI-powered hackers drain $112.7 million in Bitcoin from Coldcard wallets
A widespread security breach targeting Coldcard hardware wallets resulted in the theft of more than 1,778 Bitcoin from over 8,600 wallet addresses, with current losses exceeding $112.7 million. Analysts described the incident as the largest known compromise of a hardware wallet platform to date.

Firmware vulnerability exposes funds

The attack was traced back to a firmware update released by Coinkite in March 2021, specifically version 4.0.1. This release inadvertently shifted seed phrase generation from a secure hardware-based random number generator to a software-based pseudorandom number generator. Security experts emphasized that software-generated randomness is far more predictable, increasing the risk of private keys being replicated or guessed by attackers.

In July 2026, the attackers initiated a coordinated operation and, within just 41 minutes, siphoned more than 1,000 Bitcoin from over 1,000 wallets. Verified activity suggests that more than 1,778 Bitcoin were stolen in total, although malicious withdrawals ceased after August 6. Out of the stolen amount, about 1,531 Bitcoin remains idle in wallets tied to the hackers, while roughly 246 Bitcoin was moved further using privacy-preserving strategies such as Coinjoin mixers and advanced anonymizing tools.

Simply installing updated firmware cannot fix the issue. Any seed phrase created with the impacted firmware version remains permanently at risk. Users with exposed wallets must generate a new seed phrase on secure firmware and transfer their funds immediately.

A software developer reportedly notified Coinkite of vulnerabilities as early as May 2025. However, the flaw lingered for months, giving adversaries time to build and deploy scalable exploits targeting multiple Coldcard models, including Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, Q, and Mk5. Coinkite issued a security bulletin

Meanwhile, whale accumulation reached a five-year high during August. Uniswap also dominates trading activity on Robinhood Chain. That dominance generates substantial fees for the protocol. With annual burns approaching $90 million, UNI now has a stronger supply story. Investors must still consider competition and adoption risks.

Standard Chartered analyst Geoffrey Kendrick previously set a $100 target for UNI. The target implied a massive increase by 2030. Kendrick now believes $100 could prove too conservative. The descending structure gradually compressed price toward the current breakout zone. A sustained move above 0.13 BTC would challenge that long-term pattern. However, a brief wick above resistance would provide weaker confirmation.

Shahnawaz recently argued that 2026 could deliver a major altcoin expansion. His post urged traders to avoid panic selling during difficult market conditions. He also compared potential crypto gains with recent moves across gold and silver.

Relative Strength Faces Confirmation
The chart projects a possible move toward 0.53 BTC after the breakout. That projection represents roughly 321.23% upside from the marked breakout region. Such performance would require sustained altcoin strength against Bitcoin.

However, according to experts, if Ethereum’s efforts in this direction come to fruition, the goal is to achieve higher transaction capacity while keeping node operating costs under control and preserving its decentralized features.
