Bitcoin Rainbow Chart predicts BTC price for start of September
The Bitcoin Rainbow Chart indicates that Bitcoin ($BTC) could trade around $63,800 at the start of September 2026, based on the model’s current trajectory.

With Bitcoin changing hands at $63,258 at press time, the forecast implies a modest gain of less than 1% over the next two weeks.

The Rainbow Chart is a long-term valuation model that maps Bitcoin’s historical price action against a logarithmic growth curve to indicate whether $BTC appears overvalued or undervalued relative to past market cycles.

Based on the chart’s current trajectory, Bitcoin is trading near the lower end of its historical valuation range, with the model implying a price of roughly $63,800 by early September. However, the Rainbow Chart is best viewed as a long-term valuation tool rather than a precise forecasting model.

The latest data also shows the cryptocurrency trading below the original chart’s lowest band, a zone BlockchainCenter labels “Bitcoin is dead.” Historically, similar periods have reflected extreme market pessimism and have often preceded long-term recoveries.

Notably, the Rainbow Chart divides Bitcoin’s valuation into color-coded bands representing different market conditions.

Based on the model’s September 2027 projections, ‘Maximum Bubble Territory’ begins around $1.83 million and signals extreme market euphoria often associated with cycle tops. ‘Sell. Seriously, SELL!’ starts near $1.34 million and indicates substantial overvaluation.

‘FOMO Intensifies’, around $984,000, reflects aggressive speculative buying, while ‘Is This a Bubble?’, near $734,000, suggests strong bullish momentum alongside growing concerns about sustainability.

In the middle of the range, ‘HODL!’ sits around $532,000 and represents a historically neutral valuation zone for long-term holders.

Bitcoin's BTC$63,565.04 price has been eerily calm for weeks, locked in a narrow range below $65,000. Options, or derivative contracts offering insurance against wild price swings, should be cheap in a market this quiet. They aren't.

That may sound counterintuitive, but it really isn't, and it matters for traders considering options to hedge against, or profit from, a potential volatility boom. Volatility is mean-reverting and often spikes suddenly after a prolonged stretch of dull, range-bound trading.

It comes down to the fact that these options contracts are priced based on what the market expects to happen in the coming days or weeks, not on what has already happened recently.

Sustained inflows into spot Solana Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) indicate that institutional demand remains firm.

The technical picture is also showing early signs of recovery, although $SOL must decisively break above the key $78 resistance area to confirm further gains.

Institutional demand for Solana remains resilient despite the token’s recent price weakness.

According to CoinGlass, spot $SOL ETFs recorded $10.26 million in net inflows last week. This was their strongest weekly performance since May 22 and marked the seventh consecutive week of positive flows.

The uninterrupted inflow streak suggests that investors continue to build exposure to Solana through regulated investment products.

If demand strengthens further during the current week, ETF buying could support $SOL’s attempt to break through nearby technical resistance.

CryptoQuant’s summary data also reflects cautiously optimistic market conditions. Solana’s spot markets show large orders from whales, indicating activity among deep-pocketed investors.

Conditions in the futures market appear to be cooling, potentially reducing the risk associated with excessive leverage.

Other indicators remain neutral, leaving $SOL with a mild bullish tilt rather than a firmly established upward trend.

This balance suggests that the token has room to recover, but buyers still need to produce a convincing breakout before the broader outlook turns decisively positive.

Bitcoin $BTC$63,558.97 steadied above $63,000 on Monday, clawing back a fraction of last week's losses with a 0.8% gain since midnight UTC.
Without an obvious catalyst, the largest cryptocurrency appears to be tracking U.S. equities. Nasdaq 100 index futures are up 0.5% to their highest point since July 2.
Any positive reading will need to take into account last week’s net $390 million outflow from spot exchange-traded funds, including the first three-day stretch since the end of July. That was the largest weekly withdrawal from U.S. spot bitcoin products in six weeks.
Ether $ETH$1,903.86 ETFs flows were limited, and solana ($SOL) ETFs bucked the trend with their strongest weekly inflows since mid-May.
The bigger picture is the Clarity Act. Galaxy Research’s head of research, Alex Thorn, cut his odds of the landmark crypto bill becoming law in 2026 to roughly 10% on Aug. 14, joining prediction markets that now put the probability at around 17%. A cloture vote is scheduled for Sept. 15 when the Senate returns from recess, although market observers are expecting another delay.
Derivatives positioning

Thin liquidity raises swing risk: $BTC's notional open interest, at $48 billion, is now nearly double its 24-hour trading volume. $XRP's market shows a similar pattern. That gap means any mass liquidation event could run into thin liquidity, raising the odds of wild price swings.

The daily chart continues to show a market suffering from a clear lack of momentum. ETH is trading around $1.88K, with the price action becoming increasingly choppy and compressed after the recovery from the $1.53K-$1.57K support zone.

A major factor behind this behavior appears to be the lack of liquidity and volume in the market. Neither buyers nor sellers have been able to generate enough sustained pressure to establish a directional move, resulting in sideways fluctuations around the 100-day moving average.

This moving average, currently near the $1.9K region, remains an important threshold. ETH has repeatedly traded around it but has failed to establish a convincing breakout and continuation above it. Meanwhile, the broader descending trendline is still nearby, adding another layer of technical resistance.

As a result, the market remains vulnerable despite the recovery from June’s lows. The immediate support zone is located around $1.80K-$1.84K. A decisive breakdown below this region could shift attention back toward the major $1.53K-$1.57K demand zone. Until volume and liquidity return, however, choppy sideways price action could remain dominant.
