Crypto Funds Extend Three-Week Run With $1B Inflows Despite Geopolitical Stress

Global crypto funds attracted a remarkable $1 billion in inflows last week, marking their third consecutive week of positive net flows and best performance in two months, while underscoring resilience amid geopolitical challenges.
According to the latest CoinShares data, crypto funds drew $1.06 billion in inflows last week, continuing their positive net flows run for the third consecutive week and extending their best performance since the year started.
Notably, crypto Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs) had a five-week run of negative net flows from January 19 to February 20 amid market weakness and broader negative sentiment. The investment products had cumulative outflows of $4 billion, registering their worst performance since the October 10 crash.
The US market experienced most of the negative net flows during this period, while Bitcoin-based ETPs saw the weakest performance among major cryptocurrencies, with over $3.80 billion in outflows.

However, US investors’ renewed demand for digital asset investment products since the end of February, particularly Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), has reduced the prior one-month outflows streak, bringing the three-week run of inflows to $2.62 billion.

The price responded with a single-digit rally, trading in a sideways range as traders monitor the $0.0000053 support level.

The Shiba Inu community seeks to strengthen its deflationary case by utilizing the Shibarium network to reduce the coin's massive circulating supply.

The Shiba Inu ecosystem experienced an explosion in token burning activity, incinerating tens of millions of units from the active supply. This action aims to trigger bullish pressure in a sluggish market currently characterized by risk aversion.

Despite the renewed optimism, supply remains a technical challenge, with hundreds of trillions of tokens still in circulation. Currently, the market is observing a capitalization that is struggling to maintain momentum, while sentiment indicators like the "extreme fear" index contrast with neutral momentum readings on $SHIB's daily chart.

Technical Challenges and Resistance Levels

On the other hand, technical analysis suggests that the coin is in a critical consolidation phase. Immediate support is located between $0.0000053 and $0.0000055; a break below this level could invalidate the recent recovery and drive the price toward lower demand zones.

Additionally, investors face persistent resistance in the $0.0000062 to $0.0000065 range. For the trend to truly shift, $SHIB must overcome the Smoothed Moving Average (SMA) at $0.00000772, which acts as the main barrier for a structural repair of the chart.

PayPal expanding PYUSD stablecoin access to 70 countries: Report



PayPal is expanding access to its stablecoin $PYUSD to 70 countries, including regions across South America, Africa, and Asia, whereas previously only users in the US and UK could hold it, Fortune reported Tuesday.

Users can now send, receive, and store $PYUSD while also earning rewards, with US users receiving around 4% annually.

This move reduces high cross-border fees, allows users to keep funds in a USD-pegged asset instead of converting to local currencies, and introduces wallet balance functionality in countries where funds previously had to be withdrawn immediately.

$PYUSD supports cross-border payments such as transfers from the US to Peru, enables holding digital dollar balances in emerging markets, and is used for business payouts and internal transfers.

Since its 2023 launch, $PYUSD’s market cap has grown from a small base to $4.1 billion and is now the seventh-largest stablecoin in the world, CoinGecko data shows.

Bitcoin continues to see a bit of upward pressure, as we are trying to turn the entire market around.
Bitcoin has rallied a bit during the session here on Monday to show signs of life yet again. Ultimately, this is a market that I think is in the middle of turning things around.
We are breaking above the 50-day EMA and if you’ve been watching me here at Daily Forex, you know that I’ve been talking about this $72,000 region as being important. Now that we are above there, if we can sustain above this area, eventually I think Bitcoin will go higher.
I think we are in the midst of trying to turn this whole thing around. It’s kind of interesting considering that the whole world has fallen apart, but at the same time, you can also say that Bitcoin fell apart first. Now, people are looking for some way to store money and maybe put some away.
We just recently passed the psychologically important 20 million Bitcoin mark, meaning that there’s only 1 million coins out there to be printed. But all things being equal, I think this is a huge washout that some institutional traders are starting to take advantage of.

We don’t really have a lot of momentum, and I wouldn’t expect that, at least not right away, but this looks more and more to me like a buy on the dip market with a limited part of your portfolio. I would not go into this too heavily. I recognize that we could turn right back around and fall apart.

After all, we had what looked like a bottoming pattern at the end of last year that started to rise, it broke above resistance and then collapsed, so you have to be very careful.

The cryptocurrency market is turning bullish again, and Bitcoin has experienced a bounce, triggering optimism among investors. While Bitcoin’s price is holding firm above the $73,000 mark, its market dynamics are undergoing a major shift that could shape the flagship asset’s direction in the short term.

A Key Change In Bitcoin’s Market Structure?
Bitcoin’s price is showing bullish strength once again, recovering above the $73,000 level during the weekend. However, on-chain market data reveals that the way supply is shifting between long-term BTC holders (LTHs) and short-term BTC holders (STHs) throughout the current cycle is clearly changing.

Darkfost, in a post on X, highlighted that this transfer of supply between the two groups has not occurred in the ongoing cycle the same way it did in previous cycles. As prices rise, long-term investors have historically transferred their holdings to more recent market players during significant bull market periods.

This trend suggests a major reset in the initial market structure of Bitcoin, where supply is equally controlled by short-term and long-term holders. Moving on, the expert stated that the first key thing to remember in the current cycle is that long-term holders still hold the majority of the BTC supply.

Rather than witnessing a rapid decline in LTH-held supply as Bitcoin nears the conclusion of its cycle, this time the process took a different turn. As of Sunday, these key investors represent roughly 79% of the total BTC supply.

The development is similar to that of the 2021 cycle, where the share of supply held by long-term holders fell from 82% to 70% in a space of 6 months. A major trigger is the insufficient liquidity from short-term holders to absorb the selling pressure from long-term investor
