Iran has accused the United States of breaching a ceasefire agreement after alleged military strikes targeted two vessels near the Strait of Hormuz and several civilian coastal locations.
The claims were made early Friday by Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the country's top joint military command, according to reports carried by Iranian state media. An Iranian military spokesperson stated that U.S. forces allegedly attacked an Iranian oil tanker traveling from coastal waters near Jask toward the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials also claimed another vessel entering the strait near Fujairah, a major port city in the United Arab Emirates, was targeted during the operation. The statement further accused the United States of conducting coordinated airstrikes on civilian areas along Iran's southern coastline. Iranian authorities said the attacks hit locations in Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island, with claims that certain regional countries cooperated in the operations. However, no official confirmation or response from Washington has been released at the time of writing. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most critical oil shipping routes, making any military escalation in the region a major concern for global energy markets and international security. The process for the Clarity Act, one of the most important legislative proposals for cryptocurrency regulation in the US, is gaining momentum.

Whether or not stablecoins should offer interest or similar returns has been the biggest obstacle to the passage of the law to date and the biggest point of disagreement between traditional banking and the cryptocurrency sector.

Although some progress has been made recently with a compromise on stablecoin interest payments, the banking sector argues that this is still insufficient.

Following the interest yields on stablecoins, the demand for an ‘ethical clause’ is emerging as the second important variable. Some Democratic lawmakers are questioning the connection between President Donald Trump and his family’s cryptocurrency businesses and are calling for regulations to prevent conflicts of interest.
At this point, Democrats who value ethical principles may withdraw their support for the Clarity Act, also known as the Transparency Act, due to ethical concerns.

According to Politico, citing three sources, US Senate Democrats are considering withdrawing their support for CLARITY if it does not include ethical guidelines for public officials regarding cryptocurrencies.

The key point of contention is whether these rules will be added during the Senate Banking Committee vote.

Republicans argue that the matter is outside the committee’s jurisdiction and suggest that the rules be added during the general assembly stage. Democrats reject this view.

Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego, who led the ethics negotiations for the Democrats, reportedly stated that these rules should have been included while the bill was still in committee stage.

Cardano criticisms have resurfaced, as claims that the token will drop further in the cryptocurrency ranking by market cap emerge.


Cardano (ADA) currently ranks 13th in the crypto market with a market cap of $9.45 billion. This marks a step forward for ADA, which fell to 14th place at some time this year. The latest positive push comes amid recent bullish price action, which saw it rise by over 6% in two days, briefly reclaiming $0.27. 

However, Cardano is still outside the top 10 by market cap, a position it had maintained for a long time, with Hyperliquid (HYPE), Zcash (ZEC), and UNUS SED LEO (LEO) displacing it. A recent outlook sees newer assets and narratives further pushing ADA lower in the ranking before the end of the year.

The Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust ETF (MSBT), the first spot Bitcoin ETF launched by a US bank, recorded modest inflows of $7.3 million on Thursday. The fund has not seen a single day of outflows since debut on April 8, 2026, according to Farside.

MSBT has so far accumulated 2,920 $BTC, worth around $232.6 million, growing assets held for its customers by 557% since launch.
