team behind the Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin announced Thursday that the top 297 token holders by time-weighted balance will be eligible to attend a luncheon with President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida on April 25. The top 29 holders will additionally qualify for a private reception with Trump. Eligibility is based on holdings tracked between March 12 and April 10, and all attendees must pass a background check.

The TRUMP token rose to a 24-hour high of $3.06 following the announcement, recovering from an all-time low of $2.73 reached earlier the same day. The token trades at $2.94 at the time of writing, up 2.4% over 24 hours, but remains down 96% from its January 2025 all-time high of $73.43.

A White House official told Politico that the April 25 event is not confirmed on Trump's schedule. The date also overlaps with Trump's previously stated plan to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner, creating uncertainty about whether the memecoin event will proceed as advertised.
The announcement marks the second time TRUMP holders have been offered exclusive access to the president. The first event took place at a Trump golf club last May. Tron founder Justin Sun attended as the largest tokenholder present, reportedly receiving a watch during a ceremony. Infinex founder Kain Warwick also attended after accumulating enough TRUMP to rank within the top 25 holders on the leaderboard.

The structure of the new event mirrors the previous one, using a leaderboard and time-weighted holdings to determine access. The requirement for background checks is a new addition, as is the tiered access system separating the top 29 from the broader pool of 297 eligible attendees.

The clearest crypto-specific detail in the action concerned Nguyen Quang Viet, CEO of Vietnam-based Quangvietdnbg International Services Company Limited. Treasury said Nguyen converted about $2.5 million into cryptocurrency for North Koreans between mid-2023 and mid-2025, including illicit earnings tied to Amnokgang Technology Development Company, a DPRK IT company that manages overseas worker delegations. Treasury also said OFAC’s designations in this case reached facilitators in the DPRK, Vietnam, Laos and Spain, underscoring how geographically dispersed
