The MVRV ratio compares Bitcoin's market capitalization with its realized capitalization, which represents the aggregated value of coins based on the price at which they last moved on-chain. By analyzing this relationship, the indicator helps determine whether the average investor is currently holding unrealized profits or losses. According to the latest data, Bitcoin's 365-day MVRV ratio has fallen to levels similar to those observed in late 2022 following the collapse of the FTX exchange. Ethereum Foundation is entering a five-year period of “mild austerity,” according to co-founder Vitalik Buterin, as the network posts a new transactions-per-second record and US spot funds see fresh withdrawals.

However, price pressure has persisted alongside those headlines. The token traded at $2,711 at the time cited, down more than 7.8% over 24 hours, with weekly and monthly declines also reported.

Ethereum Foundation Austerity Plan Outlines Roadmap 
Vitalik Buterin said the Ethereum Foundation will pursue mild austerity for five years. The plan aims to support core development without threatening the foundation’s independence. Meanwhile, he described two objectives for the approach. The statement said the first goal targets an aggressive roadmap to keep the network performant and scalable.

In addition, he said the second goal focuses on financial sustainability for the foundation. This includes protecting the core mission and supporting user access with self-sovereignty, security, and privacy.

Furthermore, he said he will redirect personal resources toward certain “special projects” instead of relying on the foundation. He said that change frees foundation resources while allowing him to pursue a broader technology vision.

Consequently, he said he withdrew 16,384 ETH to fund those efforts over the next few years. The co-founder also highlighted exploring secure, decentralized staking options to support longer-term funding.

On-chain data shows the shark and whale population on the Bitcoin network has surged to a new record, indicating continued influx of large entities.

Bitcoin Sharks & Whales Are Sitting At A Record Count
According to data from on-chain analytics firm Santiment, there are currently a record number of Bitcoin investors holding over 100 tokens. The indicator cited by Santiment is the “Supply Distribution,” which tells us about the total amount of addresses that currently belong to a given wallet group.

Addresses are divided into these cohorts based on the number of coins that they are carrying in their balance. The 1 to 10 coins group, for example, includes all investors owning between 1 and 10 BTC. Now, here is the chart for the Bitcoin Supply Distribution shared by Santiment that shows the trend in its value for three ranges: 0 to 1, 1 to 100, and 100+ coins:

As shown in the graph above, the Bitcoin Supply Distribution has increased for the 100+ BTC and 0 to 1 BTC cohorts since mid-2024, indicating growth among both the largest and smallest investors. The 1 to 100 coins group, however, has shown the opposite trajectory in this window; addresses of this size have seen their population shrink.

At the current exchange rate, the bottom and top ends of the 1 to 100 coins cohort convert to $72,000 and $7.2 million, respectively. Given this size, the holders belonging to the group would be the mid-sized entities that carry more power than the retail traders, but are still not too relevant when compared to the largest holders. Today, there are 954,000 addresses falling inside this tier.

According to the official website for the memecoin, attendees will have the opportunity to “Meet and Learn from 18 of the World’s Most Influential SUPERSTARS.”

This approach is consistent with a strategy employed by Trump’s memecoin team last April, which allowed the top 220 holders of TRUMP from April 23 to May 12 to gain access to a similar event.

In a shift from that earlier strategy, this year, 297 TRUMP token holders will be selected to attend, with the top 29 qualifying for an exclusive VIP reception with Trump and other undisclosed guests.

The website outlines specific criteria for VIP bonus eligibility, which is tied to the holders’ time-weighted TRUMP holdings as of Snapshot Day on April 10, 2026.

Between April 10 and April 26, those whose token balance remains at or above their Snapshot Day level will keep all VIP bonuses. Yet, if a holder’s balance drops below that level, they may still attend the conference and gala luncheon but might lose access to VIP benefits.

However, a significant contrast exists for this year’s event, this time regarding the memecoin’s price compared to last April-May, 2025.

CLARITY Act Review Ahead
When holders attended the previous luncheon, the President’s memecoin was valued between $15 and $20. Now, however, the current price sits around $2.89, indicating a sharp decline of approximately 81% since the previous event announcement.

This price drop is even more concerning when considering that the TRUMP token has yet to approach its all-time high of $77, which was achieved shortly after its launch in June 2025. Should no major bullish catalysts arise leading up to the event, holders may find themselves attending with a token value nearly 97% lower than its peak.
