US spot Bitcoin ETF products drew $622.75 million last week, their sixth straight week of net inflows.

US spot Bitcoin ETF products drew $622.75 million in net inflows during the week of May 4 to 8, extending the streak to six consecutive weeks of positive flows. SoSoValue tracked the figures on May 11.

BlackRock’s IBIT dominated the period with $596 million in net inflows. Grayscale’s GBTC was the notable exception, posting $62 million in net outflows over the same stretch. IBIT’s cumulative total now stands at $66.1 billion.

The current run is the longest inflow streak for US spot Bitcoin ETF products since seven consecutive weeks between June and July 2025. Over the six weeks starting April 2, the funds have together absorbed nearly $3.4 billion in fresh capital.

The strongest week of the run came in mid-April at $996.38 million. Last week’s $622.75 million was the second-highest total of the streak. Bitcoin traded between $80,000 and $82,000 during the period before stabilising near $80,800 by the weekend.

Spot Ethereum ETFs drew $70.49 million over the same week, while spot Solana ETFs took in $39.23 million and spot XRP ETFs attracted $34.21 million.
The six-week run follows sustained institutional demand that has seen IBIT absorb the overwhelming majority of industry flows throughout 2026. IBIT captured 73% of Bitcoin ETF inflows during the week of January 12 to 16, a pattern that has continued across successive reporting periods.

Quantix Finance CEO Jake Seltzer told analysts this week that “the market is entering a phase where liquidity is becoming more selective rather than purely speculative,” pointing to the inflow data as a sign of structural institutional rotation into Bitcoin

The Internet Computer ($ICP) marked five years of continuous mainnet operation on May 10, with DFINITY founder Dominic Williams (@dominic_w) using the anniversary to unveil Cloud Engines, a sovereign cloud framework that pushes the network deeper into the AI agent space.

The reveal coincided with a notable on-chain surge. Chainspect data flagged by @chainspect_app showed average $ICP transaction fees hitting a 90-day low while daily transactions pushed past 335 million on May 8.

What is Cloud Engines?
@dfinity is framing Cloud Engines as the next phase of the Internet Computer protocol. In his May 10 post, Williams laid out the pitch directly:

"After years of continuous development, which have seen more than $500m spent on R&D, the Internet Computer network is now tacking directly toward this mainstream cloud market with cloud engine technology."

The target is the trillion-plus annual cloud market by 2030, a pivot that moves $ICP beyond standardlayer 1 talking points.

The framework lets any builder spin up a sovereign cloud by configuring nodes, including operator, location, hardware class, and even Big Tech instances from AWS or Azure. Apps and services run inside the $ICP protocol, which Williams says removes the need for constant infrastructure admin teams. The runtime is also pitched as tamperproof and immune to standard infrastructure attacks.

Sovereignty is the core selling point. Regions can be locked to specific jurisdictions, for example, Europe for GDPR compliance, or fully inside Switzerland or Pakistan. Nodes can be swapped without downtime, and the system handles scaling by adding nodes for queries or splitting engines for updates. Multi-chain support forstablecoins and DEXes is also part of the build, with SNS orchestration handling autonomous operation.

ETF inflows and futures activity fuel bullish sentiment
ETF inflows are being viewed as a key signal of growing institutional interest in Solana. Analysts note that consistent inflows over recent sessions suggest that large investors are gradually increasing exposure to the asset.

The most recent inflow momentum came from Bitwise’s BSOL ETF, which saw net inflows of around $36 million over the past week. Fidelity’s FSOL ETF has raised a new round of more than $1.8 million in fresh capital.

BSOL has received over $861 million in inflows since its launch (over 81% of the existing spot Solana ETF inflows). There are about $1.06 billion cumulative inflows across spot $SOL ETFs. Also supporting the ETF momentum is increased activity in the derivatives market. Solana futures open interest soared to $6.4 billion from $4.94 billion on May 1.

There was an increase in the aggregated spot cumulative volume delta (CVD), with the difference between buying and selling orders rising to nearly $250 million from $163 million over five days, as $SOL moved toward the $96 level.

Meanwhile, futures CVD increased to about $593.6 million after steady growth from May 5 onward. Funding rates have also remained positive at around 0.065%, indicating that traders remain willing to pay premiums to maintain long futures positions.
