Bitcoin ETFs added $14 million, with Blackrock IBIT’s $22.9 million inflow offsetting ARKB outflows.

Ether ETFs rebounded with $23 million inflows, led by Blackrock ETHB’s $32 million after prior losses.

XRP gained $6.4 million via Bitwise, while Solana ETFs saw $1.2 million outflows led by Vaneck VSOL.

The streak is intact, but it is losing force. Crypto ETFs closed the week with another day of inflows for bitcoin, though the pace has slowed markedly. Ether returned to positive territory after a brief interruption, while activity across smaller assets remained mixed.

Bitcoin ETFs recorded modest net inflows of $14.45 million, extending their run to nine consecutive days. The underlying flows, however, reflected a market beginning to balance out.

Blackrock’s IBIT led with $22.88 million, continuing to act as the primary source of demand. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT added $11.13 million, reinforcing its steady rise among newer entrants.Elsewhere, selling pressure persisted. Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB posted a $9.02 million outflow, while Bitwise’s BITB saw an $8.85 million exit. Fidelity’s FBTC also recorded a smaller $1.69 million outflow. The inflows were enough to offset the losses, but only narrowly. Trading volume stood at $1.83 billion, with net assets closing at $102.64 billion.

Ether ETFs returned to inflows, adding $23.38 million after the prior day’s outflow. The recovery, however, was concentrated in a single product.
Blackrock’s ETHB accounted for all inflows, bringing in $32.25 million. This was partially offset by outflows of $7.71 million from Blackrock’s ETHA and $1.16 million from Fidelity’s FETH. Trading activity came in at $459.88 million, with net assets closing at $13.79 billion.Solana ETFs moved in the opposite direction, posting a $1.17 million outflow. The Value of Bitcoin Dropped to 2 Cents on a Cryptocurrency ExchangeA notable price anomaly occurred in the cryptocurrency market. On the UK-based fintech platform Revolut, the price of Bitcoin briefly dropped to approximately $0.019.

According to screenshots shared by users on the social media platform X, the Bitcoin price appeared to some users today as just a few cents.

The incident at Revolut, which has over 70 million global users, was reported to be very brief, with prices quickly returning to normal levels. Users speculated that the event may have been caused by a display error, a sudden price deviation due to liquidity, or an order book error.

On the other hand, the price data on Revolut’s official website presented a different picture than what X users shared. According to the data on the platform, the Bitcoin price fell below the $39,900 level around 10:15 AM Turkish time on May 8th. However, this drop was quickly reversed.

There has been no official statement so far regarding whether any users have purchased Bitcoin at these unusually low prices.

Several analysts lowered forecasts after the company missed expectations on revenue and adjusted EBITDA as trading activity slowed across the crypto market. Still, a number of firms argued Coinbase’s expanding stablecoin and derivatives businesses — along with the possible passage of crypto legislation in Washington — could improve the company’s outlook later this year.

JPMorgan said the quarter reflected “a challenging environment” but added that Coinbase had “positioned the company well to operate in an increasingly digital world.”

The bank said pending U.S. crypto legislation “does set up for a better outlook into 2H26 and into 2027” and maintained an overweight rating on the stock.

The legislation in focus is the CLARITY Act, a proposed market structure bill that would establish rules for how crypto assets are regulated in the U.S. The bill aims to define which digital assets fall under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and which would be overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Coinbase and other crypto firms have argued clearer rules could encourage banks, asset managers and large companies to expand crypto activity.

After a 23-day pause, STRC returned to parity at $100, allowing Strategy to resume Bitcoin purchases, albeit in symbolic volumes - for the first time since mid-April, the company acquired just 1.17 $BTC specifically through this financial instrument, according to data by strc.live.

Against this backdrop, another media duel unfolded between Michael Saylor and Peter Schiff, with the former comparing his ecosystem to aviation, where STRC is an airliner, $BTC is a fighter jet, and MSTR is a rocket. The latter then responded with the usual skepticism, predicting the inevitable "crash and burn" of all three elements.

Peter Schiff's radicalism is no surprise here, as he had previously called the STRC model an "obvious Ponzi scheme" sustained only by dividend payment obligations. According to the gold bug, Saylor would rather collapse STRC by suspending payouts than begin massively selling Bitcoin.

To be fair, for the first time in a long while, Peter Schiff's criticism sounds less like social media bravado and more like a pragmatic calculation.

Imagine checking your portfolio and seeing Bitcoin priced at two cents. Not two thousand. Not two hundred. Two pennies. That’s what some Revolut users say they experienced on Friday, in what appears to be one of the more spectacular display glitches in recent crypto app history.

The price snapped back to normal levels almost immediately, and no major exchange tracked by CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap showed any corresponding anomaly. Bitcoin was trading just above $79,000 during Asian afternoon hours on Friday. The incident appeared entirely isolated to Revolut’s platform.

Revolut’s official Bitcoin page showed BTC briefly marked around £29,414 on its one-day chart before returning near £58,600. That alone would have been a jarring drop. But social media posts from users painted an even wilder picture, with some claiming they saw prices as low as $0.02.

CoinDesk reported it could not independently verify those near-zero prints or confirm whether any trades were actually executed at those levels. Revolut had not responded to CoinDesk’s request for comment by the time that report was published.

Some users on X claimed buy orders executed during the disruption. Those reports also remain unconfirmed. If trades were indeed filled at those levels, Revolut would face the unenviable task of determining whether the prints reflected legitimate liquidity, stale quotes, a routing issue, or a straight-up pricing error on the platform’s side.

Here’s the thing. The day before the incident, Bitcoin was trading at around $81,022. So even the “less extreme” dip to £29,414 visible on Revolut’s chart represented a massive disconnect from reality. The $0.02 figure, if accurate, would be the kind of number that makes risk managers lose sleep for weeks.

However, this recent downturn did not affect the options market, and it entered an upward trend.

Accordingly, options investors are targeting $115,000 for Bitcoin by the end of the year.

According to the data, the number of investors betting that Bitcoin will rise above $115,000 by the end of 2026 in the options market is steadily increasing.

The 33% price increase since the annual low of $60,130 on February 6th is playing a significant role in increasing bullish expectations.

It is estimated that there is approximately $6 billion in open positions in Bitcoin options that expire on December 25th.

A significant portion of this consists of call option bets on the Bitcoin price rising above $115,000. Open positions for $115,000 and above are approximately $1.85 billion.

However, at prices of $55,000 and below, there is a $1 billion put option, a figure that is also noteworthy.

This means that options traders are betting on extreme price expectations in both bullish and bearish markets. If the bulls appear overly optimistic, those taking short positions appear equally overly pessimistic.
